Thanks, longshot, and good eye on Lisa Goodfried being her friend . Another tidbit: according to "Stephanie"'s 6/17/06 comment on Amanda's myspace, it looks like Amanda married Greg Goodfried on or before June 17. (A trip to Stephanie's myspace shows that she too works for CAA, though in New York. Don't think this is terribly relevant.)
I've been trying to find Amanda's maiden name with no luck so far, but it's quite likely that she now goes by "Amanda Goodfried." Her myspace also contains comments from "lala.", an 18-yr old who suggests she is Amanda's cousin, and whose name may or may not be "Allison Probert," but I couldn't find any "Amanda Proberts" fitting Amanda's description.
P.S. to plumpy: thanks for the warning about the likelihood of Amanda's myspace page (with the comment from the Jane Doe's) disappearing. I've saved its image as a pdf and as an htm file, but is there anything else I should do to preserve it?

I am VERY interested to see where this is going... So, the fairly obscure indie band featured in LG15's Aug. 29 "Swimming" video posted "Hey Amanda - thanks for the love" on Aug. 24 on the myspace page of Amanda, who works for CAA and who is either about to marry or recently married to Greg Goodfried who is the son of Kenneth Goodfried who filed for the trademark for "lonelygirl15." Tell me that's not that's too much to be a coincidence! The thing is, I'm not sure what to do next. It seems very likely that Amanda (nee ??) Goodfried is involved with the production of LG15, so... should we try to call her or something? I don't want to spoil our chances for getting info by doing something rash! Is Virginia around to give some advice on how best to proceed? My best guess at her current address and phone number are what zabasearch.com gives as the newest info for her husband, Greg (assuming this is the same Greg Goodfried, which seems likely, since we know he works as an attorney in LA): GREGORY GOODFRIED 8670 BURTON WAY Recorded: 03/01/2006 LOS ANGELES, CA 90048 (310) 285-9785 Now to find a reverse phone book or something, to check for her name at that address and #....

Might not need extra photos, but there are a few wedding photos over on Hilary's photo page. I think she was the maid of honor? I posted the cake pic at the other forum. myspace-920.vo.llnwd.net/00878/02/92/878062920_l.jpgThe big G on the cake is a nice touch...ha.

It wouldn't be implausible that Bree and Daniel's agent(Amanda) got her FIL to register the trademark. This still doesn't bring us any closer to the final product though.
Who's gonna contact these people, in the nicest way possible, of course?

Somebody is gonna call? And ask what? We do have a bit clearer of a picture though. The story is taking shape.

It wouldn't be implausible that Bree and Daniel's agent(Amanda) got her FIL to register the trademark. This still doesn't bring us any closer to the final product though. I'm not so sure that Amanda (nee ??) Goodfried would be Bree and Daniel's agent. She works at CAA, but her cached myspace lists her job as being in "business affairs" (unless I'm misreading that, which I may be), and that doesn't sound much like an agent to me. Furthermore, we think that someone sending e-mails as Bree was doing so from an office at CAA in California. And that person might very well be Amanda. But sending e-mails as Bree wouldn't be in the job description of her talent agent, would it? So maybe Amanda is actually quite close to the "final product" of lg15. Or maybe this is all just a web of insane coincidences. ETA: I'm kind of afraid of spoiling things if we go calling people too soon, or if we say the wrong thing.

I was thinking along this line too, so I browsed around on Amanda's friends' pages to see if I could find a suspicious filmmaker type, or some NZ connection or even pictures with a glimpse of Bree or Daniel. But... nothing. I must say, most of her circle of friends really don't fit the underground filmmaker stereotype.

longshot, I wouldn't expect that they would. If she only works in Business Affairs for CAA she might just be part of the team assigned to the lonelygirl15 project! Amanda was in law school, her husband and FIL are lawyers....

Not only does it say she works at CAA in "business affairs", it also says she's an attorney... (listed as "Occupation" under the "Amanda's Details" sidebar). And her schools say she graduated from University of Miami with a Ph.D. in Law...
So my guess is she has an administrative assistant and you aren't likely to get her on the phone without some social engineering.

plumpy, I just learned that term, "social engineering," by hearing it discussed on the radio the other day. And I think it's a pretty strange name for what it is. Makes it sound all morally clean and stuff. By the way, I'm not sure she actually graduated from U of Miami: her MySpace lists her graduation year as N/A , which makes me think she dropped out before getting the Ph.D. Which is not to say she'd be easy to reach at CAA, of course.

"Business affairs" easily falls under the job description of an agent.
What is it you think an agent does?

west: But "attorney" (her listed occupation) isn't likely to be an agent. Right?
