Good points in this thread (and previously) about the logical problems with the CAA connection: physical presence in the building, no reason for unprotected IP address, careless it's a talent agency, 'official' website and forums basic to say the least
But although from certain angles unlikely it still remains possible, and as has filtered down in this thread it is a connection made by forum members, so I think the position is that it's taken on trust atm. Obviously if after x period of time nothing further develops in this direction it will probably look a rather less interesting lead...

yeah, I looked at that cached myspace. If you look at her comments section, the girl in "Jeffrey's" profile pic looks Bree-like, but lacks the distinctive eyebrows, so I don't think it's Bree. It would appear that the Goodfrieds are very tied up in this whole thing.

Yeah, that guy is the same! How do you get the google cache? Can you find the username friedcal - that is the first in this Amanda Goodfried's friend list, but of course the user has disabled that account now too.

Those two pictures sure look like the same guy to me, which implies that this Amanda girl was "soon to be Mrs." GREG "Goodfried." not KEN Goodfried, the Encino attorney who filed the TM application for lonelygirl15. In which case her affiliation with CAA is a coincidence, and we are just posting pictures of people who aren't really involved? Woops. I was going to point out that on her cached myspace page under book interests she lists "Guns, Germs, & Steel," but that must be a coincidence too.
Update: it's further established down this thread by corcaroli that it's not a coincidence.

We still don't know what Kenneth looks like? If he's related to Gregory, then possibly he's in one of the wedding pix? Doesn't mean much if we don't have a photo of Kenneth to compare though.

My working theory: Amanda Goodfried (nee ?) is married to Gregory Goodfried. Gregory Goodfried is son or perhaps nephew of Kenneth Goodfried, the attorney who filed the trademark claim. It seems that Amanda brought on Kenneth to keep CAA's involvment clandestine. (See the comment on the old board from Jessica -- one of the IP Sting Three -- that it's common practice in corporate law to do secret work through family members: www.lonelygirl15.com/forum/read.php?2,2137,page=2.) The "Creators" probably signed with CAA around 8/21. My guess is CAA applied for the LG15 trademark (through K Goodfried) early in their representation. Given the mystery surrounding the videos' origin, it would be important to CAA to protect future profit from rival claims on their client's intellectual property. CAA might then have also provided some production help in the form of answering YouTube and MySpace friend requests. It's possible that CAA also directed the "creators" to a web production team; you know, to help build their storytelling 2.0 portal, or whatever they're up to. Finally, you'd expect CAA would want to manage the groups publicity...

There's this question as to if CAA would have been too smart to use one of their machines to access the myspace account. That may seem obvious now, but keep in mind that this bit of sleuthing was not so obvious as to be done in June, July, or August. I'm pretty savvy, but I didn't know Myspace that well and the idea that you can track accesses to a Myspace page was a big surprise to me. After all, that becomes a tool for privacy invasion and I'm shocked they don't prevent it from happening.
The IT staff at CAA probably assumed, reasonably, that accesses to a Myspace page would be logged only by Myspace and subject to privacy restrictions. They would probably anonymize mail and accesses to boards not under their control, but probably didn't worry about Myspace or Youtube.

Tracking IPs via MySpace is against their TOS and you have to use code which is not supported and is actually actively discouraged by MySpace. I agree it is an invasion of privacy.
