Have the connection to the Jane Doe's been explained? (How their wonderful "Junkie" came to be included in the Swimming video and Amanda S G's role in this.)

Longshot, I haven't seen any explanation yet. I'm quite sure it's no coincidence that Greg Goodfried's wife (Amanda Solomon) and sister (Lisa Goodfried) were in friendly communication with the Jane Doe's and their lawyer, Seth Allen, in the days and weeks before the Swimming video was posted. (I'm a fan of "Junkie" too, by the way.) Maybe the Goodfrieds are just fans of the band, or friends of the band members, who wanted to give them a little free publicity. I suppose it's possible that some money changed hands, but I'm not sure if that's at all a likely or interesting possibility. I've considered sending an e-mail to Seth Allen just to ask about the Jane Doe's connection to the lonelygirl15 project (Did they know in advance who was making the videos? Or did their friends keep the secret from them, even after their song was featured?). I suppose it wouldn't hurt to ask, but I'm not sure how much it would accomplish.
To my mind, the more interesting question is what Amanda S G's role was in all of this. As far as I know, we haven't yet seen any information about what she did for them at CAA, though I'm quite confident she is the "friend" at CAA mentioned in the L.A. Times story. But was she sending e-mails as Bree from her work computer (with or without her boss Charles Meliker's permission)? Or was that done by someone else after CAA started to represent the project formally? Anyone who's received or read an e-mail from "Bree" must be at least a little curious about who was doing the writing. Was Amanda Solomon sometimes the online "voice" of Bree? Or (which seems more likely) did she just let her friends use her computer to mask their identities? Or neither? Now that the big cat is out of the bag, I suppose we might try just asking Amanda or Greg to clear up the finer points, though I'm not sure they'd be inclined to answer.
Of course, these questions aren't nearly as interesting as was pinning down the identities of the creators. But it would be nice if the picture got filled in a bit more. I hope anyone who finds new info on these questions will post in this thread.

I remember when the Swimming video was first released I went straight to The Jane Does MySpace and checked it out. The video was posted there as well. I thought it was strange that it was posted so soon, so I knew then that they somehow knew "Lonelygirl15" I spent an hour or so looking thru their friends with nothing major sticking out that caught my eye. Don't know if that helps you in anyway.
