Nice one! So the creators are letting Lisa plant some music in the vids? Or is she on the creative team? Way to keep working this angle. This is how we'll suss out the creative team I think...or at least the legal team.

This is where linking them to the CAA is important. This is a must-read article, and it was JUST posted: LA Times Article Today

At the very least, we can say that the Goodfrieds and the Jane Doe's are closely connected. It's interesting to note that Ken Goodfried didn't file for the lonelygirl15 trademark until August 21, which is after the "Swimming" video came out. I'm starting to wonder if it was the Jane Doe's (and/or their attorney, Seth Allen) who introduced the Goodfrieds to LG15, and not the other way around.

Greg Goodfried is one of the Creators!!!
P.S. You know that scene in "All the President's Men" where Dustin Hoffman says "Damn New York Times!" (or something) when he sees he's gotten scooped? My first reaction to SDM's link was, "Damn L. A. Times!"

Oh how I wish we'd found Amanda Solomon and Greg Goodfried a day earlier than we did! Then maybe Virginia would've gotten the scoop and we'd have had our sleuthing skills to be proud of for it. ETA: NEVERMIND! Virginia just wrote back to me, saying, "We had this up an hour ago!" NY Times Article Today

Miles Becket! Didn't someone say a while back on the old board (sorry don't know where) that one of the emails from whoever was claiming to be "Buka" was milesbeckett@(something). If so, that info was sitting out there the whole time. Not that we knew who Miles Beckett was, but it's kind of funny.
Buka = Becket (eh, kind of similar)
Edit: Virginia's NYT article says Grant Steinfeld was the Bukanator.

Seeing as I started this Thread (which was totally wrong anyway) and then did f*** all else.I'd like to say well done to all people who did all the leg work looking into the CAA link.

Alissa, about whether or not this thread is done: it's still not exactly clear what Amanda Solomon did for LG15 at CAA, or who else was involved at CAA, and it's also not clear what communications Amanda and her sister-in-law Lisa Goodfried had with the Jane Doe's, and with their attorney Seth Allen, before the swimming video went up. All this leftover stuff is pretty peripheral, but it would be nice to have a place to stick new info on this subject if it ever arises. (E.g., I never found out if Virginia heard back from Amanda or her boss at CAA, but maybe she did...)
