FYI, the sped-up bit says "around here, we orbit the sun in a perfect circle, or we don't orbit at all." There is some additional background sound (music maybe), but seems pretty innocuous.

I used to teach middle school and I remember that there is a young-adult lit book by Jerry Spinelli called "Stargirl." I haven't read it in awhile, but from what I recall it's about an offbeat, intelligent, home-schooled, pretty, 16-year-old girl who refused to conform to traditional high school roles. She befriends a tech-savvy boy. The novel is basically about their relationship. It's not a perfect match, (I don't think religion was a major part) but could we perhaps be looking at some sort of a promotion for a new teen movie based (perhaps loosely) on the book? Here's the link to the description at Barnes and Noble: search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?z=y&EAN=9780440416777&itm=1I think John Green is our resident expert on teen novels. John?

Hmmmm.. stargirl (from the book) has the given name of "Susan" wasn't that one of T's "clues"? Probably a coincidental connection, or if this is a small amateur group, they could just be borrowing plotlines from books. Now we just have to wait for Daniel to find out he's really a wizard who's parents were murdered when he was a baby. (hey... "Daniel" Radcliff connection maybe? Oh boy, I need sleep)

It seems like she's responding to observations made about the videos: Daniel's uselessness on the bed, her occult perception with a joke on Daniel's transformation, the time stamp issue (now Pluto's demise, following the RS cover).
Bree's analogy of Pluto to herself in high school makes me think of a possible meta-analogy. Her videos are getting lots of attention, and she doesn't like these new friends/ peer group. The allegations about her fakeness are reflected in her classmates' taunts about being with the teacher. (Maybe the teacher is the Producer!?) But if she stops asking questions, then I guess the parallel is she stops making videos.
I feel she provides a subtle directive (threat?) that she will stop if the taunts continue. Now what about "Dont have rings"? (Married teacher?)

Pluto was de-planeted over a week ago from what I recall (too tired to check). Suggests a production + post-production lag time. Also notice absence of Crowley pic in this video. So while they have established that the videos are contemporaneous, they haven't lent much credence to the idea that they are not in fact written/produced/filmed/massaged.

The 'Stargirl' book combined with the latest post on Flemming's blog has me convinced that he's behind this all.
Now if I only knew where this was all headed.

Hey everyone, I haven't posted since everybody was on the fansite forum. How times have changed.... anyway, I don't really by into the Stargirl thing so much, but just FYI, Nickelodeon Films, part of Paramount now, purchased the rights to "Stargirl" a few years ago, and it is set to be turned into a feature, unfortunatley I haven't seen anything on a release date, so it's probably to far in the future to be connected.
And just because I thought it was funny, an excerpt from a book review of "Stargirl" on ciao.co.uk says: "Given the fact that this is just an average High School her fellow students eye her with suspicion and distrust. She is so alien to them there are rumours she is from another planet, that she’s fake, an actress and has been planted among her classmates to stir things a bit"

Poor Bree, too. Anyone think she's looking a little haggard from all that sequestering? She's starting to look her age.
This was also a litte more slapdash than the others in terms of production value. Maybe they're wearing down.
BTW: Best. Webisode. Ever. I've been quoting her to myself all night. Okay, not all night, but, like 3 or 4 times.

I be they had a good backlog of vids and are now struggling to keep up the schedule. Have not had time to digest all the content, but I bet it has clues and red herrings galore. Certainly throwing in a reference to her being involved with a teacher has ramped this way up on the bizzaro scale... Best. Vid. So. Far!

Maybe they wanted her to look worse as she is preparing for the 'ceremony' ? The diet, exercise and learning.....

Bree doesn't look haggard to me. But most of US probably do from following this whole thing! It was a two day turnaround from the last video, which is faster than average for Bree.
my 2 cents:
This pluto video is very self-confessional along the lines of her most popular video so far: Lazy Eye (767K viewings). I liked the storytelling.
minor note: The shot angle starting at 1:03 (camera straight at bed, no angle) is something i don't think we've seen before.
If there's any greater clue in this video, it has to be the reference to : "But you're gonna have to accept, that these new friends of yours DONT HAVE RINGS." She emphasizes that. (Remember the cookie monster video - p.monkey moved toward the camera on the "06" rating as a signal to pay attention i think)
She references Saturn and Jupiter by name as having rings. Anything to take from this? It's ripe for what is likely a lot of meaningless analysis.
Saturn is named after the Roman god of agriculture. Saturday is named after Saturn. Saturn was the father of Ceres, which is one of the "other bodies" (an asteroid in this case) that Bree references as in Pluto's new peer group.
Jupiter is the Roman equivalent to Zeus. Jueves in spanish (Thursday in English, from a different root source) is named after Jupiter. He was the most powerful of the gods.
I have to imagine people can make lots of links between Jupiter, Saturn, and occult religions. And maybe ceremonies involving rings?
--- Oh, another aside, i liked this post from the youtube comments morass:
windwaterfire3 (4 hours ago) you know what happened to pluto when we as humans deemed it no longer a planet?
NOTHING! pluto doesnt give a damn and whatever we choose to call it doesnt change anything about what it is and always has been.
now think of how that applies to you --- so true.

For the record, re. stargirl: I highly doubt there's a connection, although there are some character and story arc similarities. (There are character and story arc similarities, however, to about ten thousand books for teens; my editor, Julie, calls lg15 "the perfect teen novel," although admittedly she said that before Cassie's muffled yearnings came out.) The "stargirl" reference in the video is a little compelling, but, I mean, it's not like Bree has a pet rat or anything (which is one of the big plot points of STARGIRL). However, the Flemming thing looks more and more likely to me. I'm unconvinced he started it, but he seems involved in some way, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if he's trying to turn something that wasn't always a game into a game. EDIT: As far as I know, the STARGIRL movie is languishing in development. This could not be a promo for that. -John www.sparksflyup.com
