This was not planned in my opinion.
I am quite sure that they had originally planned on the ceremony being on 10-12, as it is Crowley's bday and on top of that P. Monkey had dropped hints about it, long before Daniel investigated. Why would they have had 10-12 in mind as the ceremony date, if it was just planned to be a practice IF Daniel ever got suspicious (which he had not been at that time).
Also, this is a shocking though rather annoying twist in the plot. Everything pointed to 10-12 as being the true cult day, being Crowley's bday there was certainly reason for it, and Daniel's Egyptian things he found said that mid-October was when they had a big ceremony as well. Everything pointed to this being the ceremony, and that it was over. Now Bree just showing up saying, uhh yeah, that was all a lie, I'm still practicing, that was just to throw Daniel off is pretty annoying. ESPECIALLY because she's saying it on-line, so now Daniel knows! What good is that if she's going to spoil the secret? None of this adds up and has all the earmarks as being a last minute change of plans.

I bet it wasn't planned too, since planning ahead was never their strong suit, but who knows? I'm glad we've got another shot at "the ceremony." Of course if there's not a payoff this time, they'll have let us down twice.
We should either get to see the ceremony and it's cool, or Bree and Daniel run away together, or _something_ interesting has to happen.

Is it possible she's lying to Daniel this time to trap him?
I just think the ceremony not happening has too many plot inconsistencies for the creators to even consider being real.

mkay... first post for me here  not sure about it being planned originally or not. didn't see this one coming, to be honest. guess they wanted the ceremony to take place on 10-12... but somehow reconsidered after getting wind of daniels interest in their actions. "ESPECIALLY because she's saying it on-line, so now Daniel knows! What good is that if she's going to spoil the secret?" wasn't she saying "I just got off the phone with daniel..."(?) - so I guess he knew it before the rest of the world did. anyways... stopped by the lg15.com forum - don't know if I missed something since I don't visit that form very often... that "In-Character-Interaction" seems new to me. Guess they really want to emphasize on direct interaction. Well loads of new things... Gemmers, Lies... what next? Funny though... I just realised that the series doesn't leave me wondering as much as at the beginning anymore - It's more... well "following a storyline" for me now. Perhaps because I don't really belong to the target group who would interact with the characters (?) (well, so far). Please excuse my poor english... I usually just use it to talk with my mom  |

Who exactly is she communicating with now? Random cheerful vlogging made sense. Posting vlogs specifically for Daniel to see made sense. But now? Is she intending to expose the order to the YouTube public? Does she imagine that Renetto and the WineKone are going to fly out to California and straighten things out? Is she talking to Gemma? This makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE anymore.  |

I agree noasinger. I think now that this is 100% internet drama television the creators are throwing purpose out the window and just having Bree get us the information in the simplest form--talking directly to us. For no reason. Kind of randomly. And I'm kind of mad that they're calling that ceremony the fake one. That makes the cookie thing fake. Which is a major continuity problem. Planned or unplanned, how could they foreshadow a fake ceremony if her and Daniel weren't even fighting at the point. and he wasn't even suspicious. I'm just mad that they'd go along with this whole "fake ceremony" thing despite that. And besides thatttttt. Bree looked like she was really crying at the beginning. Good job.

Wow, had never heard that word before but a retcon is definitely what we have on our hands here.
Seriously jay, think about this: P. Monkey in cookie foreshadowed the ceremony (or SOMETHING) occuring on 10/12. Bree confirmed this when saying soon after that the ceremony did happen on that day.
Now it turns out that was just a fake one since Daniel would be watching. Well guess what, Daniel was not suspicious in the least in cookie episode. Furthermore, Daniel had pointed to all these reasons like ancient Egyptians having an important ceremony in mid-October (of course their months were diff so I thought that was kinda weird but still). Since Daniel wasn't suspicious until the week leading up to it, presumably there was no reason to plan a fake one to throw people off until then. Is the Order psychic? They saw this all coming? There's no other reason for 10/12 to be pointed to as the REAL thing to turn out to be the fake later on.

edit to add: Now that I think about it, Lonelygirl would work well as a comic book, I think. For one thing, they could draw thought bubbles and let us know what they're thinking when it wouldn't make sense to post a video blog about it.

I think this direction might have been planned.
She has gauze on her arm in “I completed the ceremony”. From her first post after the ceremony, they hint that it is not actually over.
In “Daniel be careful”, she is more concerned with trying to get Danial to stop, than the fact that he tried to taped the ceremony. It is during her emphasises on the importance of the secrecy of these ceremonies that she tells him to please stop, and then starts getting visibly upset. Why would she be concerned about him stopping following the ceremony, if it had already happened? It appears she is trying to prevent him from filming a ceremony in the future.
I wonder if the maps on Lucy’s computer are connected where the real ceremony is supposed to take place.
I suspect that Bree wasn’t even told that the ceremony wouldn’t occur until she got there. She seems genuinely excited about it the day before, and then strange and upset in the one after.

Well.. To be honest I have a very strange feeling about his.
It feels to me like Bree is lying now.. I mean that the ceremony actually took place.. I don't know.. The last 2 vids feel like 2 steps backward.
They seem out of place.. I don't know how to explain this. It looks like if they decided that the actual plot was no good so they just would go back to the point where they lost their own line.. Or what?
So.. If we are to assume the ceremony never took place.. We actually are several episodes back and we are assumed to re-take the story from there right? Like back to video 45 or so.. And we are supposed to drop all we gathered in the last 2 weeks or so...
You know what? Bree lost all her strengh as a character to me in this video.. Now we are to assume that she is a puppet and someone in the cult is moving her strings?
I guess my point is: Once you find out someone has lied to you there is no way to know whether that person lied in the past and is being honest now or if it's the other way, or if all of it is BS.
I'm afraid the series may be taking a wrong turn here..
As to the video, It feels like Bree can't stand anymore being isolated and she holds on to the only person she knows from the outside world. It is Daniel but it could be anyone else. It feels as a panic reaction against solitude.. A desperate measure to avoid losing contact with Daniel for he is the only window to the wolrd she has and if that window were to close she would have no more fresh air and eventually die agonizing.
