actually, video #5
for what it's worth, each of his videos have mysterious tags. They're not anagrams, they're ciphers this time.
The tags decipher as follows,
video 1: it has killed bezore
video 2: matthew ten colon thirty plus
video 3: one item missing
video 4: man shall not live by bread alone
video 5: let the dead bury the dead
I sent thehumanpet a YT message about "bezore" and asked if he meant before. He responded, and I quote, "BEFORE." He screwed up his own cipher and didn't even bother to change the YouTube tags. I dunno. Shoddy.

I am kind of sick of seeing them advertising themselves. Every page I go to seems to have a message from them saying FEED ME or whatever. Last night I saw a youtube channel/page with two comments in a row from them. I know you need to do it to get anyone to watch you short of being featured, but I don't like all the shameless self-promotion. If everyone did that youtube would be sent spiraling into chaos of infitinate cassies... I mean comment posts.
And after all that they still only have like 180+ subscribers.

Thehumanpet on ARGNARGN has picked up on it. Apparently the unforums are talking about it too. I say let 'em have this one. Sorry, but you can't use the 3 or 4 most overplayed "classical music" songs of all time and have any orchestra-cred with me.

It wasn't very well done, so I'm not disappointed for the series, but I don't like YouTube's track record with pulling and flagging videos, the Charlie Cobb video, Cara's virginity video, Terry's NoHos expose, the Michelle Malkin controversy mentioned in Virginia's Screens Blog. im veering OT of pet food eating IMS, but i wonder if there are any restraints on youtube here? i presume the youtube user agreement gives youtube carte blanche to delete anything they deem inappropriate. does the 1st amendment have any application to youtube? (and i don't know the answer -- maybe the utube legal blog does.) if a blogger posts 10 seconds of the bill maher video outing ken mehlman as gay [U.S. politics], which would normally be fair use, and youttube takes it down, does the poster have any recourse? |

Seeing as the Human Pet tended to have 1 week gaps at least between videos (before the mystery was solved), if it was real the pet would have starved long ago. I didn't love it but I'd like for it to still be up to watch on occassion, too bad it's down. But it certainly WAS a bit creepy and worrisome, shows what a maniac could do with youtube..

Yes, actually I suppose that there could end up being some sort of political or social commentary lurking at the roots of this series.
Media and political critic Clinton Fein of annoy.com has done some interesting and angry protest work in a similar vein. It certainly isn't to everyone's taste, like much performance art.
Maybe that's part of what was driving this auteur's indignation at being yanked from YouTube. Could be too soon to tell.

I never loved Human Pet, but at least the first few were interesting. This latest one was awful. It was basically like watching one of those kidnap videos from Iraq... except in this case its supposed to be for entertainment instead of terror. I don't see the difference when that's all it was about- no other redeeming value to it and doesn't push the story really. It was lame. And also it said if no one tries to rescue him- he will live. It proceeded to say directly afterwards help keep him alive! So basically all that needs to be done is to not go after him after awhile and he lives- but then he says WILL HE LIVE?! Solve all the clues! And then had some lame ANAGRAMS. UGHH- after Cassie if I ever see another anagram again I'll scream! Such a cheap way of making a mystery! The only thing that's worse is writing it in MORSE CODE!
