I am kind of sick of seeing them advertising themselves. Every page I go to seems to have a message from them saying FEED ME or whatever. Last night I saw a youtube channel/page with two comments in a row from them. I know you need to do it to get anyone to watch you short of being featured, but I don't like all the shameless self-promotion. If everyone did that youtube would be sent spiraling into chaos of infitinate cassies... I mean comment posts. And after all that they still only have like 180+ subscribers. The reason I haven't checked this out yet is because they spammed comments promoting themselves. Spam isn't the way to get anyone to pay attention

Wow...interesting indeed. Human pet has the disclaimer that it is an "interactive fictional horror story" and this is obviously a part of it if you find the link through the human pet. And you can find the link to humanpet as soon as you go to the finderic forum. But if someone saw finderictaylor.com out of context, they might think it real, which is the point, I suppose. I could see that pissing people off, but as long as pissing people off is not a crime, the humanpet is legal. ...Unless it's all real, and the "fictional" disclaimer is just a part of this killer's "masterpiece." In which case, we'll be hearing more about this on the news.
eta: even if it's distasteful, I will give humanpet credit for at least trying to make use of the new medium in ways that couldn't be done on TV alone.

Haha they even have a whole seperate website from the horrified parents? OK for a fictional story it's a bit too true to life. The webpage is pretty low quality though and kind of laughable, when knowing it's fake, since it looks like a 12 year old made it with one of those free page builders.

I think the low quality of the page adds to its charm. It looks like what parents would be able to whip up. I always like a good fake website. I think other series should use them more often. Lost has tons of real (and fake) fake sites. They are that often they are about Dharma, or Air Oceania. Using the internet to add to the story isn't something limited to internet series. Unless it's all real, and the "fictional" disclaimer is just a part of this killer's "masterpiece." In which case, we'll be hearing more about this on the news. They should so release a fake news show where they report on the kidnapping and how they tried to throw people off by pretending it was all a show. Everyone loves it when a story gets all meta.

What's with the woman's voice talking to a group or something like that in the background of the dad's video plea? One would think whether it was being done for a video series or by distraut parents they wouldn't film it in an airport lobby or whatever with the woman in the background talking over him and making it harder to hear.

A website from the parents...very interesting. So are we supposed to work with the parents now? It looks like Eric's an actor somewhere in L.A. Hmm, that narrows it down
