She never said they were mean. Just that it didn't work out, considering her unusual background.

^ No, it's not strange at all. I used to be kind of like Bree at school. My friends liked me and such but certain things happened where people just didn't like me, not sure why, but it made me not want to go to school anymore. Also, I had a friend who was super pretty and she was really a beautiful person but no one else wanted to be her friend but me. Things like that happen all the time. And I guess there is something wrong with people who have a hard time adjusting to society. I sometimes felt there was something wrong with me. I think maybe Bree is Cassie.

let's talk about what Virginia Heffernan mentioned about Cassie in her latest blog. I'll be willing to quote if it'll actually spark a conversation. My last attempt was ignored, haha
Edit: the weird mentioning of cassie included a lyric by janes addiction called pigs zen, zen could be easily traced to aleister crowley. I wish conversations would start.

so, what if she IS cassie, and her cassie personality WAS sleeping with her teacher...she wouldn't necessarily know about it. As I recall from my days of creepy MPD/demon plotlines (plus, a radio show in which DAILY someone with MPD or a satan worshipper called in.) host personalities don't necessarily know that the others exist. It's a coping mechanism. If this is where the plot is going, I would actually concede the evangelistic propaganda theory.

Cassie == Cassandra, most likely From Wikipedia: In Greek mythology, Cassandra ("she who entangles men") (also known as Alexandra) was a daughter of King Priam and Queen Hecuba of Troy whose beauty caused Apollo to grant her the gift of prophecy. However, when she did not return his love, Apollo placed a curse on her so that no one would ever believe her predictions. Apollo loved Cassandra, and when she did not return his love, he cursed her so that her former gift would become a source of endless pain and frustration. In some versions of the myth, this is symbolised by the god spitting into her mouth; in other Greek myths, this act was sufficient to remove the gift so recently given by Apollo, but Cassandra's case varies. From the play Agamemnon, it appears that she made a promise to Apollo to become his consort, but broke it, thus incurring his wrath. After the Trojan War, she sought shelter in the temple of Athena, where she was raped by Ajax the Lesser. Cassandra is then taken as a concubine by King Agamemnon of Mycenae. Unbeknownst to Agamemnon, while he was away at war, his wife, Clytemnestra, had begun an affair with Aegisthus. Upon Agamemnon and Cassandra's arrival in Mycenae, Clytemnestra asks her husband to walk across a purple carpet. He initially refuses, but gives in and enters, ignoring Cassandra's warnings. Clytemnestra and Aegisthus then murder both Agamemnon and Cassandra. Some sources mention that Cassandra and Agamemnon have twin boys Teledamus and Pelops, both of whom are killed by Aegisthus. A modern psychological perspective on Cassandra is presented by Eric Shanower in Age of Bronze: Sacrifice. In this version, Cassandra, as a child, is molested by a man pretending to be a god. His warning "No one will believe you!" is one often spoken by abusers to their child victims. In more modern literature, Cassandra has often served as a model for tragedy and Romance, and has given rise to the archetypical character of someone whose prophetic insight is obscured by insanity, turning their revelations into riddles or disjointed statements that are not fully comprehended until after the fact. Lots more in the article... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cassandra

Just saw this move across the AP wire and couldn't resist:
P.Diddy announced that he and girlfriend Kim Porter are expecting twins. Oh really, P.Diddy, are you going to name them Bree and Cassie!!
And guess who has an album that drops next month? That's right -- P.Diddy. His new album hits stores Oct. 17 -- but does it hit da clubs on Thursday (10.12.06) for the sneak previews??
What's the name of the album? "Press Play"! Because Puffy is behind this and he's playing with the press.

"Cassie" could also be Cassiopeia, whose daughter Andromeda was to be sacrificed to the sea monster Cetus who was terrorizing the coastline. Eventually rescued by Perseus. The sacrifice theme fits as it has already been referred to several times, so maybe.
There's also a constellation named Cassiopeia after her, which presumably Bree'd know about since she's into astronomy.
