www.lonelygirl15.com/?p=221one.revver.com/watch/224833Milo adds: A straight-up Bree monologue. SPOILER ALERT (dont read if you haven't watched)... ... ... Bree is a member of the Hymn of One? That is the religion? I thought Gemma said it wasn't a religion at all? OK, sounds like a scientology kind of scheme here. Will "hymn of one" google? hmm....

Bree is member of the Hymn of One? That is the religion? I thought Gemma said it wasn't a religion at all? OK, sounds like a scientology kind of scheme here. thank god for you, Milo. I thought she was saying "Him of One", which obviously made no sense. stupid OIC. Plot hole: Bree's mom met the prof. after she and Bree's dad were an item. New religion causes her to go from introvert to super extrovert. However, in How My Parents Met Bree tells a story in that would seem to contradict it. www.lonelygirl15.com/lgpedia/index.php?title=How_My_Parents_MetEDIT - Don't blame Gemma, Hye. She was just the Creators mouthpiece when they were trying to disavow Thelema as Bree's religion. Now with the Hymn of One, that disavowal is complete (as complete as it can get with the memory of that Crowley picture in her room). I don't take the Gemma thing as a hole. After all, Bree just said the religion is just a front, which pretty much annuls its validity... making it "not a religion at all"... just a front for something darker. Or am I defending the indefensible?

Further proof that Gemma screwed this whole thing up. Without her disclosures about the Order there wouldn't be this plot hole. Poignant/inadvertant moment in here when Bree says "the way my dad talks about it", present tense. Also I thought Bree's description of her getting along so well with her dad but not her mom flew totally in the face of the sneaking-out-with-Daniel era episodes, in which her dad was extremely strict and Bree would go to her mom who understood a little bit better to try and prevail on him. Bree's dad was the bad guy back then, and her mom the voice of semi-reason who sometimes was able to help things out a bit for Bree. Then again, this is because there was no long term plan or character development. When those earlier episodes were written there was no plan for Bree's Mom to turn out to be the evil leader of the Order or whatever and Bree's dad to get shot in protest and all...
This is the first in a series of episodes we'll be seeing written by Mesh, so sounds like a lot. I mean a lot, a lot. Like Einstein lot.. like Professor Calculus lot! OK more like two weeks worth, whatever. This dialogue has Mesh written all over it. At least this should give us something to look forward to.

So, maybe mom was being the good guy to win Bree's favor? Actually, that makes some sense. It would soften bree to the whole ceremony thing. Also, we don't know that gemma was always evil. I still hold on to my hope that she turned evil after the paranoid episode. Was the "watcher" that she saw actually brother spying on her? Hmmmmm.
This episode made me happy. It may have negated some earlier episodes, but questions were answered. We were given something fairly straightforward. whew.

Thank you for clearing that up Milo! Lol, I too thought she said 'Him of One.' Actually, I initially thought she said 'Sum of Him.' Which sounded very... Christian to me. She kinda mumbled when she first said it, I thought. Not a bad video. I like how we finally got some straightforward information. And according to my friend google, there are no direct hits for "Hymn of One." So, it appears to be a completely made up entity, which I expected, really. But I had to check. Little bit of past contradictions. And there was one spot in there where the editing is choppy and she says a couple of different words that don't seemingly relate. But, I would almost entirely credit my lack of comprehension of the video as a whole to the fact that I'm tired as I've just sat in college classes for 8 hours straight. Did I mention that I'm dreadfully tired?

OK more like two weeks worth, whatever. This dialogue has Mesh written all over it. At least this should give us something to look forward to. I was also thinking about the sneaking out with Daniel era in this, and came to the same conclusion. I really liked this episode a lot better than the other recent ones. I think Mesh is the better writer of the team, even if we were able to find some plot holes at this point. Looking though all the episodes so far, I seem to like the ones with a lot of Mesh's imput the most. I just liked the way this episode "got back to basics." I found it a gazillion times more interesting than some lame "psychological torture." It gave us some straight forward answers, was true to the style of a teenage girl's blog, but it still had some mystery and was laced with a hint of darkness. At this point, I am getting happier. But I know that things will probably do a 180 by the next episode, as they always seem to, so I'm not getting my hopes up. But I do hope that Mesh can turn this plot back around.

Even The Hymn of One has a myspace now .... well one could argue that there is Pope TV after all.... www.myspace.com/hymnofoneThings of interest: * There are some words in a foreign language. Enochian?? I have no idea. * Quote from about me: "The world is changing, but everything continues to fall in place according to The Plan." (The Plan?? I didn't know the creators had one... ) * They mention rejoicing "before the year's end" * "Who I'd like to meet: She who has the mark" (are they talking about that weird blur on Bree's back that we saw in Swimming?) Hmm... I wonder what they will blog about...

The whole "mark" thing just reminds me of Homer Simpson with the Stone Cutters, lol... I mean, if it is a mark that Bree has I doubt it would have magical powers.
Some of the phorumites have translated the text:
loobylou: "Some Enochian at top of page is from the '4th Enochian Key' and translates as:
Under whom I have placed 9639 whom none yet hath numbered but one, in whom the second beginning of things are wax strong, which also successively are the number of time: and their powers are as the first 456.
There's some text beside 'Heroes' which looks like code..."
It seems that they are saying there are also anagrams on the page.

And according to my friend google, there are no direct hits for "Hymn of One." So, it appears to be a completely made up entity, which I expected, really. But I had to check. Hehe, why can't our friends at the forum be this smart? Every other comment on it last night was "omg Hymn of one I'm gunna google it!". "Nothing yet, but I'm still looking!". "Hmm, Faust said something about the hymn of one, just throwing it out there!" I agree with Imparfaite here that all signs point to it being made up for the series. So why do some people insist on "researching" it? It doesn't exist (in our universe). *sigh* Oh, and random thought. If this is a public video, I guess the Order knows Alex is being followed. Maybe that's why she won't come out. What would be great is if they got kidnapped again right about now. I mean, if the Order knows were Alex is, then they'd know where TAAG is. Hahaha, and Bree was worried that taking Jonas to the doctor would give away their location... oh the irony. I still like this video though, even with the possible character development inconsistency with Bree's mom. I've been hoping for more background on how her parents got into this religion in the first place. I always thought it seemed like Bree's mom dragged her dad into it, although I was guessing she was into it before dating him. It's more interesting the way they wrote it though, because that way Bree's father was witness to how her mother joined and was able to observe her transformation, thus being able to relay that information to Bree later.

No, no. This is 'clone Bree' who was released with the boys into the desert. She has false memories mixed in with Bree's real memories. You'll see.
And my philisophical question for the day: if a man is shot in the desert and no one is around to fire a gun is he really dead?

If i had a dollar for every time i have seen the following plot threads pop-up, i'd be a rich man: - DanielBeast: Is that related to the "Beast" as in Satan and Crowley - Could it be the illuminati? - Maybe it was Cassie? - Is Jonas/Daniel/Bree evil/with the order? - I think it was Tachyon. i try not to get upset at fans in their wonderment stage, but once you've been around its like Groundhog Day all the time.

Was this in the thread and I missed it? While hymnofone.blogspot.com and the hymnofone myspace were registered after the video we also have www.hymnofone.comRegistered on March 31 and hosted at lonelygirl15.com. That's right, we're talking canon.
