I think the reason why some (a small group, admittedly) fans "research" it, is in hopes that the creators have set up a reference for it themselves. I'm not sure if there is still any ARG aspect to this, but it's still supposedly interactive. I think it would have been fun if the creators had made a Hymn of One page, and taken it to the next level. The fans could have been fed clues by the creators, and then fed said clues to Bree&co via the in-character interaction portion. alas, it's so much easier to keep us in the dark than to change the lightbulb.
*edit* arrgggh. why don't I refresh the page before replying?! Then I wouldn't have wasted a perfectly good ranting on this subject.

i try not to get upset at fans in their wonderment stage, but once you've been around its like Groundhog Day all the time. I should take a page from your book and try to be less snarky about the fans. I actually don't mind their research as long as it stays in the forums. The problem starts when it flows over into the LGPedia, guess who has to clean it up then? (Right Jay?). Anyway I'm debating whether to email the Hymn of One for some info. I dunno, I could use some spiritual renewal and from their website, they seem like pretty nice people. ^That's too big. Any way I can make that smaller?

somebody got www.youtube.com/hymnofoneThere wasn't one earlier today, so I doubt it's official. I was hoping a covite would get it, but judging by the subscribers, it's someone at the phorum.

Crazy how this Hymn of One thing has taken over and seems to be found in as many things as the infinite Cassies had been. This morning myspace DB had an invite from Hymn of One myspace. If it was canon, DB would have never been added. Everyone at the phorum is in an uproar wondering about if it's canon though.

Fans are bored. But rather than step away from the monitor and go outside (or clean our houses...) we look for entertainment within LG15. - Which has been inconsistent to say the least. It's sort of like a rocky marriage, and we're hangin' on for the good times. And manufacturing them ourselves if necessary.

If it was canon, DB would have never been added. Everyone at the phorum is in an uproar wondering about if it's canon though. But so many of the canon parts of this story don't seem to make sense. If myspace is canon, I think that it could be very likely that DB is added, as it links this page to the Lonelygirl15 series - thus advertising it. The creators often do things to link the characters even if it doesn't make sense in-plot, like the youtube accounts - all the videos seem to be just posted on LG's account these days. I agree with you that if this was real, The Hymn of One wouldn't add Daniel, but since it is fiction and the creators are relying on views to keep this thing going, I don't think it can be discounted. Having said that though, this page was created after the video so it could just be a fan. I don't know, but it is consistent with the other characters having myspaces. I guess we'll just have to wait and see!

Under no circumstances would the Creators ever pay attention to myspace danielbeast. Back in August I freaking offered to hand it over to them, no strings attached, and they wouldn't even respond to that. They in no way recognize DB myspace and would no even bother to visit it I'm sure let alone think to add him. Adding him seems like the move of someone who wants to give the guise they are canon by having these big people (Jess and Yousef were also added) have accepted their invitations.

If you look carefully at that its a crude smileyface.. significance just started learning about all this videos in february Hey legal, you should check out the real Hymn of One website www.hymnofone.com. The actual image is different; I altered the one I posted to make a little joke. The "disclaimer" on mine is also not actually on their website (the part where I wrote that it's in "no way a front for a covert organization"). Speaking of jokes... was I too subtle here? Either everyone else thought same as legal and got confused, or it just wasn't funny. Boo! I worked hard on Paint for that! Ok, not really. Yay for Paint, though. Oh, and does anyone know how I can shrink that image? I don't know what markup to use. You can PM me if you don't want to waste a post. It's sort of like a rocky marriage, and we're hangin' on for the good times. I hear ya! It parallels nicely.

Hmm, when I googled they must not have submitted the website to google. Strangely enough, you have to manually submit a new website to google. Google isn't smart enough to actually find new websites on it's own.
I wonder if they will ever submit it or not. Too lazy to check. But perhaps they only launched the website recently. My own experience of websites and such, if it was registered on the 31st, it may not have even been until the 2nd before they could use the website. Depends who they went through.
And like I said, I was tired. XD
Of course, the website is very.... primitive? No links except an email. It REALLY looks like some sort of faux-Christianity. See, in Christianity (not sure about other religions, so someone correct me if I'm wrong) we tend to refer to fellow Christians as Brothers and Sisters. Although, we typically add 'in Christ' at the end, but not always because it gets kind of elongated sometimes.
But with the fauxofficial website using LG15 server space, it further confirms that the Hymn of One is an entirely fictional entity made up for the series. Thankfully, I would've been upset if they used a real religion. Because since the Order is made to be the bad guy and the religion is the front, it would degrade/destroy/maim any real religions used, no matter how quirky they are. It would just... be bad. It would be bad. Not to mention rude. At least they're trying not to alienate their viewers (further?).

googlebot crawls the entire web something like once a month (not exactly sure on the time frame these days. It was a month a few years ago), so I think as long as there is a link to a website somewhere else online, it should show up on google, but it may take up to a month from the time it's linked. the more links there are, the easier it is for google to find.

I thought it was funny, as I thought the same thing when I saw the real page, but I didn't have time to post! But you made me laugh. I'll give you some karma for your efforts in paint!

Adding him seems like the move of someone who wants to give the guise they are canon by having these big people (Jess and Yousef were also added) have accepted their invitations. I've never been to DB's myspace before, I don't think so anyway... maybe once or twice early on in the series. I am a bit confused and think I've missed something... so please pardon my ignorance, but do you own it? Is that what you mean by you offered to hand it over to them? What I was getting at was that I've just come to expect anything with this series now - not even specifically relating to myspace. I mean, they sometimes seem to break their own rules. Well, they at least break meaning and logic a lot of the time, and they break the rules of consistency constantly. It's the most consistent part of the series! I just checked the Hymn of One myspace page now and it seems that they have now ripped off the 'hymnofone.org' background, symbol and text. So I don't think it could possibly be canon anymore. That just seems too sloppy. But just like I was saying, nothing will surprise me.
