I hope that you can forgive me. - Bree -- milo adds: mostly a traditional vlog. a fairly likeable bree, a fairly unbelievable theory of the Order's reach. another hint that bree's dad may have been part of the Order's Resistance.

Haha I was about to post this, we are always at the same time Milo. I love how she says "but I thought I was doing the right thing"... ok I don't care if he IS in the Order, leaving him for dead in his own basement is probably NOT the right thing to do. It was interesting how the Creators were recently asked (in the radio chat I believe) if they are going to be doing dream sequences as part of the story... " which I would think would be an obvious NO as, like the Creators said, everything needs to be FILMED and you can't film in dreams. They said they would be trying to incorporate flashbacks and similar things though, so I think this episode utilized it well! I genuinely laughed at Bree moaning "I'm carrrrrrsick" (something about the way she said it I guess) and Jonas's various responses against her (though one had been recylced from the previous episode I believe). This was not a bad episode all things considered.
Bree needs to offer Jonas an olive/gingko branch!

A good post from gogo at the phorum, echoing what a lot of us are thinking:
And some critical but constructive thoughts from mrsmoose at the phorum:
---
Oh, on the free will thing. It does appear that the Order and this Order Resistance both believe in free will. It could be an overarching belief or Orderites that got mucked-up over time as religions tend to do. Last night in the nowinla.com radio show, the Creators said that Crowley was going to come back (although the initial inclusion of his picture in Bree's room was not based on a master plan), and these continuing references to free will seems to be a way that may happen. Indeed, Bree used to say she had free will way back in the Hiking! time period, just that her parents would be disappointed with her if she didn't follow their wishes.

The part where Bree made it clear that the "in-character" reason for still filming all this chaos was to "keep record" got me a laugh.
Guess I should give them some credit for trying to legitimize the reason why they're still filming after all they've been through.
But if Bree really wanted to make a public record, she should "post" Jonas' dad's document that they found -- though I doubt they will.

I do think it's realistic how he's shutting her out and stuff. And I can't say I blame him. However, I think it's predictable that it'll be completely resolved within the next two episodes. For good 'vlogging,' it probably needs to be. But I personally don't know that I could forgive what she did so quickly. At least it's taken more than one episode to get things resolved. That's a step up.
Overall, not a bad vid. I do wish they'd post the document. Doubtful. But also realistic. Since they only have a hard copy, someone would technically have to sit down and type up some 40-60 pages worth of the stuff. That's not very realistic. Bits and pieces... sure. The whole thing? No. Besides, we all know it's just a cover page with lots of blank pages behind it. Lol.
And obviously Jonas' aunt has internet and possibly a router for them to pick up the signal on their laptop. How convenient. The cabin was the same way. Heh.

Is there something in the water around here?
Joans last break-in video (at the cabin) noted that it took some time to post because things had been so chaotic. Is he refferring to the long drive down the mountain while he and Bree bicker with each other like children?
I envision one of their Dads (ooops that's right they're "unavailable" - maybe Daniel then) peering into the rear view mirror, gritting his teeth and saying "If I have to stop this car...!"
Apparently, the chaos continues as Bree patiently films the groups continuing rampage of breaking and entering throughout the state of California.
My favorite line in this episode may actually be a a lot more meaningful than it first sounded: Bree, refering to the "Order Fighter Good Guy Manifesto" mission statement summarizes things by saying: "It's Bad!" - Well No Sh** Sherlock!
oh Brother!

I noticed that too, which was amusing since we were just talking about their motivation to post videos. I don't imagine they'll be posting the document (though they could pdf if instead of typing it in), but I bet we'll get some quotes soon.

As has been mentioned, I'm so sick of people breaking and entering! I mean I know why they can't go back to Bree's, but can't they stay in one place? I'm just so tired of it. I think every series should know you not to use the same plot device more than twice, they've done this about 20 times now. Beyond that, perhaps somet people get sick of certain places and want them to get out more, but I personally wish they'd just stay put somewhere! There was something so endearing about Bree's room, and the fact we could always rely on her being back in there, not absolutely everywhere.

I liked the flashback thing. Now that they'll be filming everything, I wonder how often they'll go back and show us extra stuff from old tapes. It really opens the door for showing extra footage, shedding more light on a previous scene, another character's perspective or a different angle. It gives them more filmic tools to work with while still somewhat maintaining the vlog format.
It also enables some new forms of retcon. We'll see how it goes.

Trash: unfortunately it also opens the door to "Flashback" and "recap" episodes if they can't come up with anything new. How long would it be then before we are presented with a "very special episode" of Lonley Girl where someone deals with a drug (Epogen???) addiction, an alcoholic parent (oh yeah, Daniel I forgot) or some other socially relevant topic?

Perhaps they, as in Bree & Beast, don't want to post it on the internet in case the order see. We have established everyone can see everything haven't we?

Yeah, seriously -- this series could not have been created ANY earlier, especially since we're already sort-of suspending our disbelief in thinking that everywhere they go is readily internet savy (Well, they had to go to a few Internet Cafes when they were in the Motel Arc). But on the subject of breaking and entering, I'm fine with it -- gives me the feeling that if they are EVER caught by the police they may have some "legit" reason for arresting them when behind the report their handing them over to the Order . . . .

I can see the clip show now. They'd string about a hundred of Bree's "soooo" intros together into a montage. Like this...It's hard to say if they'll use this new tool for good or for evil, but we can hope. I suppose I'd accept a "Daniel edited" video montage of unaired footage from the first 50 episodes. Video editing practice right? Perhaps for the DVD, eh?
