this vid makes daniel look sorta stupid, because he devised the "test", and then didn't accept the outcome.

I don’t know how we didn’t all see this coming, I mean after months and months of watching Bree & Daniel’s relationship develop it was only logically that he would randomly abandon her for no real reason and she, after being treated horribly by everyone else in her life except Daniel, would let him leave and would run off with some random dude. That is definitely what the story has been building to.
On a more positive note, I do like how ‘Jonas’ edited this video together. He just let the video speak for itself. He didn’t add music or over dramatise it. If Jonas were really to have made this video this is what it would have looked like. I hope they can remember to keep the videos looking like the characters are really making them, and not like there is a director behind them trying to add extra gravitas or excitement. I still hold up Fleeing the Watcher as the worse example of them doing that.
I’m also not sure if they meant to polarize their fans with this video or not, but they have sure succeed.

I'm not watching this as close as the rest of you, but I really don't like this Jonas character. It seems to me like it is an excuse to get rid of Daniel.
The best LG vids were those with Bree philosophising with Daniel on the bed reading. When people were not sure what was really going on. They had some magic then, but it has been lost. Each of these new characters may give them more plot options but they detract from the original appeal of the whole LG concept.
They had something unique but now it has gone. Can they ever regain that?

It seems to me like it is an excuse to get rid of Daniel. This appears to be the end result of the Yousefgate debacle, despite all interventions. As for "fan interaction". In the chat room they kept talking about starting an official poll about it, I don't look too hard but I never saw one by Holly. I certainly told her how I felt over and over in hte chat room on the first night though. I could tell it was doing no good there and would do no good. Everything I said was countered, sometimes with embarassing naivity by... NikkiBower.
I wish I could remember, but some (anti-Jonas) suggestions or ideas I'd bring up, Nikki would always counter in sometimes horribly lame ways. Ahh now I remember one- I was mad because it kept being presented as only two options existing: Bree goes to Jonas or goes home. Phorumites were responding in horror 'well I don't trust Jonas... but she can't go home! I guess she has to go with Jonas then..." and Nikki was then agreeing with them "yeah, she can't go home, so I guess go to Jonas's." I kept saying this is a false idea that it's all you can do, they could stay with people they know like Paul&Andrea, or even Nikki Bower who stated in the chat she has an extra room. Nikki doesn't seem like an evil Orderite to me, nor does Paul & Andrea, but it kept being portrayed that since Jonas is random it's safer. She kept saying they have to get off the street though so it's either Jonas's or home.
Here's the ridiculous part- Some in the chat like me were advocating Nikki investigating Jonas.. I said this was perfect, Bree & Daniel can get off the street by staying with Nikki while she investigates Jonas to see if he's trustworthy. Nikki said she'll definitely investigate Jonas, but AFTER Bree goes to stay with him. I said AFTER?! What good is it to investigate Jonas's safety AFTER Bree steps into the hornet's nest? (I can see Nikki investigating Bree at Jonas's as something more interesting for the story, and I guess Nikki doesn't want to intrude on Bree's part of the story despite it being a realistic thing she should do). So I said that to her, that the purpose of investigating Jonas and his trustworthiness is to see if he's safe for Bree to trust, not to have her trust him first and then we see if he's safe. We are sending her into danger!
So Nikki said... well don't worry, if Jonas's isn't safe he won't hurt her at first. He'd wait awhile.
I was dumbfounded. All I could do was laugh, but that's about the worst rationalization I've ever heard. Keep in mind this was the last in a long line of lame excuses Nikki kept throwing out to maintain the false idea that it was either go Jonas or go home.

Well.. Havent seen the vid yet.. I wont be able to see until I get home.. But based on what you say I have the feeling LG15 is not LG15 anymore.. At least not the LG15 we knew..
If this is the end for Daniel it would mean many things..
1) They are getting rid of all the DB fans, which I'm sure they are very numerous in the light of the lasts vids.
2) They are driving the audience into an ultimatum: Either you like Jonas and you adapt to the new situation or you hate Jonas and you go away.. Or become a radical and use the phorum as your battlefield.
3) You just don't throw away a god hand of cards when you need them.. and DB has become a very helpful card they have played with great success in these last episodes when Bree just seemed to have runned out of steem.
4) You don't change a strong well-known and loved character like DB for an undeveloped unaccepted and not yet integrated character like Jonas. It seems we will not see DB and Jonas in the same vid ever.. But if we did, how would Jonas look side by side to this huge actor Yousef has become? If I were Jonas I would not want to have to deal with DB on the same vid.. I wouldnt like to appear like the newbie that tries to take the pro's role.
5) Let's say DB has to come back in the future to "rescue" Bree from her own stupidity.. How would all they look? If I were Jess Lee Rose I would be mad at creators for letting my character grow weaker and dumber all this time.. I don't think this image of clever adolescent that becomes a dumb woman is good for Jess because she will be always seen as a kid, as an undeveloped woman.. And I don't think Jess wants to play this kind of roles the rest of her life.
6) It is obvious to me that if Bree goes to Jona's place is because her parents are dead, just like Jona's, and the idea of the creator is to make Bree and Jonas find hints that let them slowly (very slowly) discover both their parents were killed by the cult and eventually how to set the record straight. What does that means? It means we can foretell the outcoming of the whole LG15 story for the next hmmm.. 1500 episodes? So.. Who is going to watch it? Nobody.. What does that means to LG15? It has been doomed knowinglt by its creators.. Discreators.. Destroyers.. Whatever..
7) Another thing you dont do is create a famous actor and let it go precisely when he is being more successful.. C'mon are they stupid?.. Again I have to name Scott: Eddie has his own series now and he can live without wehos or nohos or he can be involved with them.. Eddie still can go back to wehos or nohos or stay as a VanNuysGuys..
8) Another reason to not let go a string character with a name of his own like Yousef is that he could work for another IMS or even start his own IMS (I'm sure if he wanted to do it and he needed help he would get it fast and plenty). If Yousef were to get a role on another IMS inmediatly literally ALL the LG15 audience will go and check that IMS at least once.. Most will watch a few of its vids.. And if that IMS were to be really good it could even steal a big slice of its audience.
9) Testing a character in any kind of serial its a risky bussines.. Jonas has not been fully tested yet.. What if the audience after watching Jonas every episode for some time decides that doesnt likes him? What do you do then? Just find a way to kill Jonas and put Bree on the run again? DB was a bulletprof escape plan if Jonas were not to work as expected in the end.
Well.. I could go on like this for a few hours more.. But I think the point has been already made. Yes, we like Yousef and Yes we maybe affected by our liking to him but still we are making very strong points here.. We also love Bree and we havent jumped to defend her when she got some criticism.. Ok, JH did but that does not count since anything is allowed in war or in love.. :-P

Forgive my naivety if there is something I have missed, but why can't she just go home? OK, her parents were taken from there, but she isn't any safer in motels or on the streets. The Order knew where she was and could have kidnapped her 100 times over if they had wanted to.
And even if she did get taken by The Order then so what? They are not exactly going to kill her off are they, as there would be no story then. In fact, even if they did kidnap her, I''m betting they would provide her with an internet connection so she could still upload videos.
So why are people on the phorum saying she can't go home. They are not thinking about it in straight lines.

Yeah, the mistake was adding the watcher into the storyline. I guess they needed some sort of clear threat on the horizon, however things just didn't add up.
Either they should be on the run, hiding out in a motel which is a secret location...
Or they are on the run but the Order is on to them, and some sort of confrontation occurs...
The fact there was a watcher all along means the Order always knew where they were. The reason they are stalking is because they want her for the ceremony. So why watch her all the time? The tracking device would make sure they never can evade the Order, but presumably the reason the Order was following Bree was to get her. So why not move in? Things really got out of control when there was a Watcher in the supermarket too, showing they truly follow them EVERYWHERE. That's a great move to freak out phorumites and scare people, but it makes no sense rationally. Either the Order are all wimps who are totally unable to bust into Bree's motel room and kidnapp her when Daniel's away (but we know they've broken in before so that's not the case) or they're just stupid. I don't get it.

jennifer, george and all the rest...don't be so cynical: it actually opens things up for Daniel o return as a hero saving lg from the clutches of evil. for god's sake something had to happen.
I think you are expecting the worst when you should be getting psyched for episodes ot come with more action and more plot.
There are an awful lot of rain clouds around Anchor Cove, let the sun shine a little bit.
I want to go on record as saying Jonas will probably prove to be a bad guy after all and Daniel will be there for our little nut job Bree.
In any case Daniel will be back and probably in a "triumphant return" of some kind

You know, this kind of "fan interactivity" that they want to bring on would have been cool if it wasn't already pre-ordained. I railed in that chat, but I knew from the beginning what the outcome would be and that my protests meant nothing. I would hope that the next time they put a decision to us, it would be with something they had yet to make up their mind about and hired someone to play already.

Okay, folk, everyone has always known that Yousef is going on vacation to be with his family during the holidays. Because we knew that, we *did* know that Daniel was going to leave Bree with Jonas for a period of time.
This is not a surprise, not a surprise, not a surprise.
DANIEL DEPARTING FROM THE SERIES FOR A TIME IS NOT A SURPRISE.
It may be poorly written, but it is necessitated by production issues. This is not the only story weakness which has been driven by production issues; as annoying as it may seem, they have to work around these meta-story obstacles.
Do we know whether Yousef is coming back to Telegraph Avenue when he comes back from England?

I've always gotten the picture that it sounds like he's not returning. No one's really said one way or the other but I was under the impression that some people knew here that he was going to be parting ways. I am not sure at all though, but if noa doesn't know whether or not he's having to leave forever or not then hopefully this means he will return.
