Gemma: "It's not Thelema...It's not a religion afterall" The LG trainwreck continues.
So, the videoblogs aren't necessarily posted by the characters, the ceremony wasn't a ceremony, and the religion isn't a religion.
Possible future twists in the series: 1) Bree is not Bree 2) Her parents are not her parents 3) Daniel isn't Daniel (but Yousef isn't fired) 4) The creators figure out what they're doing 5) Purple monkey...is real. And real dangerous.

Who was the narrator, err Gemma, talking to in this video? Bree? Are we seriously meant to believe that Bree does not only not know what her ‘religion’ is, but she doesn’t even know what it isn’t. How could you possibly go to temple every week and think you are a Christian. This makes zero sense, and not only that but why would Bree think she follows a religion, which it turns out isn’t even a religion at all. Now, I’m not religious, but I am pretty sure a religion by definition is based around a theology, while a secret society would not. You’d think a girl as smart as Bree would know if she had a belief system or just had a clubhouse with a secret knock. And what kind of a creep is Gemma, my friend is fleeing people that may want to hurt her – so I’m gonna smile as much as possible. Ugh, it is frustrating when they don’t even seem try.

It did seem like she started the video talking to Bree, then switched without a clear transition to talking to the viewers. If she was addressing the viewers when she started talking about <super close-up> "The Order" </super close-up> it would make more sense, cause like you said, Bree should know what her own religion is. But then Gemma said it wasn't a religion. Hence my trainwreck comment.
I think she was smiling because Bree and Daniel weren't dead. But if she were that concerned, even if they're not a "tube ride away," the police are a phone call away. I think we've reached a point where questioning any of the realism of the story is a lost cause. And for a series that gained fame because no one could prove it was fake, that is one big irony.

Dear commentators,
Please show us where the plot holes are so that we may fix them. Here is a nice piece of expository redirection for you. Thank you for your input.
No, you may not have writing or editorial credit. But here is a nice t-shirt, and don't you appreciate your sense of accomplishment? Isn't it cool to be part of a New Art Form?
Oh, by the way, in the next video Gemma will tell you that [extreme closeup]The Order[/extreme closeup] really did have genuinely scary and questionable pictures and images of Daniel all along. They've been emailing them. Uhm, sorry we "forgot" to show you that. But here they are. Ignore the datestamp, please.
If it looks like a ducking, waddles like a ducking, and quacks like a duckling, then it's a duckling platypus.
OTOH (tm): Jackie was very charming in this outing.

I'm still finding her annoying and the way she has been bolted onto the plot annoying. There's something not quite right and the cut sentence editing in the LG15 style has just made it worse. I just can't buy into her character. Perhaps she is not the right person for this job.

Random britlingo monitor: "tube ride"

"I mean it's your religion... it's not a religion. It's your decision, it's not your decision." Gemma is just the personification of "paradox". How the heck is she not worried about the fact it appeared Bree's parents, one of them being the mom Gemma's family respects so much, appeared to be being led to her death. Oh well I'm glad to see things are sort of ok, despite the fact you just had to flee your house for you life! Great Bree, let me talk about my flatmates again!
I think she might have said it's not Thelema because of what Noa had been saying over at the official board. She and some others were disturbed by the way LG had kind of turned into a series calling a certain religion evil. So now they threw in the twist that it's NOT actually a religion but just a made up cult as to not offend anyone! Once again, no one saw this coming- as it was impossible to. I mean Thelema was only WRITTEN into the website main page... but no, no, it's NOT Thelema. I hate the twists that have been popping up in this series, they are all things which are utterly impossible to possibly figure out, they just kind of happen.

"It's not a religion after all"?!?!??!? er...ah...arrrrgh! Ok...at the risk of explaining away the inexplicable, the Freemasons are not a religion but something of a "society with secrets" that only requires that it's members believe in a supreme being. So the family religion could be Thelema, but they could still be part of "Da Orda"? Or Gemma is just giving us some busy work so we all quit bugging out over the Yousef debacle. If they're just going to be pulling this stuff out of nowhere, how about we get the whole cast out to Six Flags for a video on the roller coaster and we'll just wrap this whole thing up. Put em on a bus and drive them off a cliff. Trying to rationalize all these bizarre moves just makes me tired.

And for a series that gained fame because no one could prove it was fake, that is one big irony. I 'm going to start working on a collection of quotes for the upcoming DVD release, The Snarky Cove Edition. The two above are definitely contenders. Following that line, the only reason I hang onto all of this is the delightfully witty material I read here. We have some damm clever folks here!

Bree is such a smart girl that I can't believe she'd have been calling something her "religion" all along if wasn't a religion.
As far as I can tell, the ONLY hope for consistency is if Gemma is distinguishing between the Order (presumably the same as the Order of Denderah), which holds the ceremony, on the one hand, and the religion that Bree and her parents all practice, on the other. That distinction would be supported by Bree's earlier comment that her parents aren't even members of the Order of Denderah.
