Thanks! I never noticed how filthy my car has gotten... That's what two-year-old twins will do for you (even if you're a compulsive tidier like me). The Order of Gecko can help Daniel save 15% or more on car insurance. Ha-ha! We have 4-year old twins and a 3-year old surprise (all boys) and nothing is ever clean! They can wreck a room faster than we can keep it clean. Hey, does Gecko sell religious ritual insurance?!

I said yesterday that I thought she said Zendro - which is similar to Denderah - I'm in England and we have similarish speech patterns to NZ - An english person would pronounce denderah with the stress on the first syllable - DENderah...whereas I think an American would say denDERah - which might be why you're having problems hearing it....

i totally agree with you - if they hadn't added the Denderah tag, I'd still be saying gecko, I'm sure. The fact myself and a few early people posting said "gecko" probably contanminated others. I think the "another bites the dust" one was "start to smoke . . . marijuana", right? people hear what they want to! I hear the Dendera now too, with the accent on the second syllable. If you only heard the world Dendera after you knew what to listen for, don't trust it.

Cute video! Could it be that "D" is for "Denderah"? That whole "Is D for Daniel" was such a standout "pay attention!" moment that I think it really had to be pointing at something...

Thios is my first post but on my first view i distinctly heard "Order of Tempo" which could be her way of shortening OTO or her cutting off sayign the name as to not disclose it to daniel or the audience
*EDIT* nevermind i did here dendera after lsitening again

I think they really jumped the shark with this one.
Bree is no longer the cute, intelligent, inquisitive girl we all once knew, she is now going through the motions every teen girl knows with no increased curiousity.
Bad acting to boot as in the other fight scene.
The whole problem with relying on audience participation is the crowd is not made up of talented screenwriters. Democracy is the tyranny of mediocrity. Majority rule does not mean superior rule.
Hl Mencken once said:
"Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want and deserve to get it good and hard."

I think I agree with you. I mean Daniel owns the cam....but Bree starts out taping....and then it seems like a video Bree wouldn't want to post ( I wouldn't if I was trippin out). Definetly seems odd that this would be posted by Bree. Be gentle...first time poster long time lurker here Edit: It just went up on Bree's account. I know they're probably doing this so new viewers have an easier time finding the new videos, but it seems it would make more sense to have Daniel put this one up. I donno, it started off like it was a Bree video... she had the camera in the beginning and then walked up to the car with it. But the ending seemed like something the character Bree wouldn't want put up... oops...my newbness (is that a word?) made me post bove the quote rather than below it...DOH!

Hey Christoffer, glad to have you along. We tend to welcome new members, and not bash on them here I think they abandoned posting them under Daniel, because LG15 gets more views. This is, of course, disappointing because it destroys the illusion of this being vblogs. It doesn't matter that we know it's scripted, because most fiction involves suspension of disbelief ... so this would still be fun. I guess this will be adjusted back to the old format once they get their site working the way they want it to. I think it is important, because it helps the immersion in the show. EDIT: As to comprehension of the audio. I still do not hear Denderah, I do not hear Gecko either. It seems to be two syllables but I can't make them out.

It's much, much easier to hear in the slowed-down version someone posted.
This is how I hear it:
She pronounces it "DEN-der-uh." She substitutes a schwa in the second syllable, so that instead of a bright and clear vowel here, you get almost a "d_r" sound like the second syllable of "render" or "sender." Although there is enough of a vowel-sound break between that third "uh" syllable and the "oh" of her "oh-KAY to make it out, she is slurring the two words together. I believe Yousef is deliberately stepping on her "okay."
So taken together, we at first hear the "DEN" syllable, giving the strong consonant start and the "eh" sound. She is so far from the mic that we can't quite hear the mild plosive quality of the "d." Because the "n" is a trailing consonant rather than the opening sound of the second syllable, it isn't obvious.
Then because of the substituted schwas, the "der" and "a" syllables are nearly swallowed, but because there is such a bright line between the schwa sound and the hard "o" sound, we pick up on it. Her voice is rising a little querulously on the "kay," and Yousef is stepping on her with his "What?" so it is a little crowded to our perception.
So we're losing a syllable unless you listen closely. We easily but unclearly hear that emphasized "DEN," and we hear the shift into "oh." On the slowed down version, the vowel shifts caused by the "r" sound are much clearer.

whoa...*exalt* Way to break it down, Noasinger. I think that was my problem with it. The last syllable started to transform into the "oh" of ok, making it sound like "denderoh" to me. Of course, given the tag, it really shouldn't be a question anymore should it?

This video is really lagging in views on youtube. About 40 hours out, only 92,556 views Here is a hypothesis: Youtube includes a screenshot on every video. That screenshot is not chosen by the creator, but is actually taken from the exact middle of the video.* In the driving video, the screenshot is of the road when Bree turns right on red. No picture of Bree. I just checked the last three Bree videos that don't feature a screenshot of her in the preview box, and they have relatively low viewers levels: - Learning to Drive (9.20.06) - 92,556 - In the Park (9.13.06) - 235,097 - Bree The Cookie Monster (8.31.06) - 239K The conclusion: A nice picture of Bree in a screenshot yields a lot more views, which ultimately is probably the best way to generate more dedicated fans of the series. * Renetto video about the middle of the video being source of screenshot: www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVQuY2AkbNg

I always wondered why people put LG15 OR LONELYGIRL in their tags when they have nothing to do with it. Just to get views? That's kinda desperate, no? Since the lonelygirl15 name is copyrighted, isn't that illegal to do now?
