I'm now hearing "Dendera" pretty clearly, too.
+1 karma to graverubber for the best educated guess so far.

I believe what Bree is saying is that her parents don't know *why* the Ceremony has been called, because they aren't high enough in the hierarchy of their religion.

"Hathoor can relate to Ra-Hoor-Khuit in a similar manner that Babalon relates to the Beast" tinyurl.com/kevvnRa-Hoor-Khuit is the speaker in the Third Chapter of The Book of the Law.

hmmm those recipes for "cakes of light"( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cake_of_Light ) include blood...hence the iron pills? the second best blood is from a child... " For perfume mix meal & honey & thick leavings of red wine: then oil of Abramelin and olive oil, and afterward soften & smooth down with rich fresh blood. The best blood is of the moon, monthly: then the fresh blood of a child, or dropping from the host of heaven: then of enemies; then of the priest or of the worshippers: last of some beast, no matter what. This burn: of this make cakes & eat unto me."

I hear the Dendera now too, with the accent on the second syllable.
Just like with Alissa's whispering game, i probably threw people off with my first guess of "gecko". Don't listen to guesses from people who have played loud music for too many years.

Looking at a few non-wikipedia "this is how we actually do it" sites, it seems that in actual modern practice the blood is most often either considered optional or only a few drops are put in. And yah, Ana, that's what he meant -- probably one of the reasons the directions carefully specify "fresh." Crowley did have a lifelong bratty enjoyment of grossing people out somewhat. As a heroin addict who often tried and never managed to kick his habit, he was probably far less unnerved by blood than your average person.

lol It sounded like Jethro to me I believe what Bree is saying is that her parents don't know *why* the Ceremony has been called, because they aren't high enough in the hierarchy of their religion. Yeah, that's basically the impression I got. her parents aren't Order of Gecko/Jethro/Deco/Whatever, so they don't know anything about this ceremony, and they're not welcome to participate.

Thanks! I never noticed how filthy my car has gotten... That's what two-year-old twins will do for you (even if you're a compulsive tidier like me). The Order of Gecko can help Daniel save 15% or more on car insurance.

Overall, not a bad offering. It did seem disjointed though, like they cobbled together a "fun" Bree type vid with a "serious" DB type vid. No continuity between the two... I liked that DB used to post his vids on a different url, it at least had the illusion that he was a separate entity.
We may still be seeing production quality fallout due to all the media events of last week. The cast and crew were on the tube so much it is a wonder that they had time to devote to the production. My guess is that things will improve here soon now that the media frenzy has died down.
I thought both actors did better than before with the more serious material. They both appear to be better actors than they may have been given credit for in the past. I do wish the clues were a little less overt, maybe they realized that audio track was hard to hear without manipulation and threw it in as a tag...
I agree also that Jess looks much more her age out in the sunlight. Makes sense, she has had formal makeup training but it's much harder to pull off in real light.

Did anyone else read Daniel's latest myspace Blog? He says:
"Then somehow we suddenly were off on a tangent. She was yelling, I was confused, suddenly lizards were involved.. "
Did he hear Gecko too?
(Edit) Sorry. I didnt realize that the Myspace Daniel wasnt real.

I hear the Dendera now too, with the accent on the second syllable. If you only heard the world Dendera after you knew what to listen for, don't trust it. (and I don't know that anyone heard it before they knew about the tag). If your mind has some idea what to listen for, it will pattern match that to the audio very well. This is the general explaination for the phenomena of backmasking, hearing messages in reversed audio. Vokey and Read did a famous experiment in the 80's where they played "Another One Bites the Dust" and other regular audio backwards. Only 10% of the people listening could hear any message at all. When they told subjects that the backwards audio contained a certain phrase, fully 90% could hear it. Even if you know that phenomena exists, you can listen to the audio and clearly hear what you expect. You are hearing it wrong, your mind is fitting what you expect to hear and filling in the gaps for you. If you doubt me, go to jeffmilner.com/backmasking.htm and try some for yourself. See if you hear ANY of the messages before you know what to expect, then hear how clear the messages are AFTER you know what to expect. The "Stairway to Heaven" example is particularly astounding. The phenomena works for any garbled or inaudible audio given something that is reasonable close in structure. As an aside, the backmasking believers used to have an example of audio from Osama Bin Laden, but have all pulled it since they finally realized how stupid it made them sound that Osama would have embedded subliminal messages IN ENGLISH.
