That's an excellent analysis, Noasinger. I totally agree.
I am just so glad they are continuing the story of Bree and Daniel... I wasn't ready to give up on those characters AT ALL.

Getting back to the "iron" pills. Why are we taking it at face value that shes telling the Daniel the truth about the pills shes taking. (us) the truth. I've got nothing to back it up, but.... I tihnk we need to trust the things she tells Daniel. Remember she's not just telling Daniel that they are iron pills, she's telling the audience as well. I think that from the writer's perspective dialogue with Daniel is a way to get information to us, the viewers. The alternative, that we can't even trust what she tells Daniel, puts pretty much everything she says on shaky ground. Ultimately we've got no way to know if she's willing to lie to Daniel (has she lied to him in previous episodes?). But it's an interesting point to ponder. It may not be a question of Bree lying to Daniel, though. I heartily agree that we need to trust that the writers are playing fair and have Bree tell the truth. But -- the only thing the audience can confidently grasp is that Bree believes she is taking iron pills. Her father may or may not be deceiving her about the pills. I find it interesting that she is suddenly taking pills on camera and getting shots only after having been caught sneaking out of the house. This reminds me of the plot of an old Harlequin romance novel from the 70s. (Stop smirking! I was a kid!) In the book, an amnesiac young woman is living an isolated life with her aunt and uncle. She falls in love with a man from down the beach who helps her when they are stranded in her relatives' house during/after a huge storm, while the relatives are away. Something about the man seems a little familiar to the girl, and he questions her closely about some pills she takes everyday. Iron pills, she tells him. I'm anemic. The big reveal of the story is that these are not iron pills at all, but sedatives. The man pursuing her is actually her husband -- she had left him two years previously because she mistakenly believed he was having an affair. During her flight, she had gotten into a serious car accident. Her relatives, believing her problems were cause by spousal abuse, spirited her away and kept her in sedated seclusion so that she wouldn't encounter any memory triggers and try to reconcile with her husband. Chuck out all the soapy romance and amnesia shit, and you have Bree in a similar situation, living with relatives trying to control her desire to spend time with someone. She's logy and slurry in this video, as if she is mildly sedated. She may believe these are iron pills, and the writers may reveal that they aren't, without cheating the rules of fiction.

Cool insight about the pills.
I'm not sure the LG plot will necessarily use the same device as the romance novel, but I would be pretty certain that the writers are aware of the story you outlined.
Also, I think it was you, noa, who stated that the LG producers may be training us viewers to behave in certain ways, such as the Paul & Angela shout-out. Reciprocally, I wonder if just by your saying so, the plot might actually go toward the direction you suggest. I like the literary analysis approach, and I think the more creative our interpretations, the more interesting LG will be.

Q.?WHY do her eyes look really strung out at 1:26 and 1:30,my assumption is that this was shot after the "party",you couldnt act the facial expressions unless you were under a lot of pressure,Hence the release of the "cassie" vid ....Quickly done with a bit of stock footage and a twist? PS sorry guys'n'girls had to work, and treat the loving wife to some QT hence the silence,...OH and the new Woody Allen movie with ian mcshane "Scoops", Great to be back at this time Now just need to catch up...........Thanks intrigued2

This to me...was one of the worst videos of the series. One of the charming things about watching these videos, is discovering the plot unfolding in the background. It seems to me, that in this case...the "clues" were the main focus of the video. Perhaps they were rushed...but they SHOULD have showed her actually going bowling...because that was the purpose of sneaking out of the house. Bree and Daniel are not supposed to KNOW that there is some deep dark mystery here... So why post a video that is purely for the sake of offering clues?

Couldnt put it better myself,
I sense a feeling of underlying panic,Too many tv shows to appear in, but need to give something for the fans, I hope that this is not the shape of things to come,it strikes me as a precursor to shoddy workmanship.

Well, look at it this way. Bree meets Daniel in the park. She is acting foggy and a little irritable. This is Daniel's video, and it ends immediately after she takes the pills.
So what happened next in the story? We don't know that they actually do go bowling after this conversation. Daniel seems pretty concerned about her and suspicious about those pills, doesn't he?
Also, bowling would have involved setting up and getting permission to film in a bowling alley, probably renting it or a portion of it outright, and bringing in extras and additional characters. For a 2 minute piece, just to be "charming."
From a filmmaking standpoint, that's far more complicated and a poorer cost/benefit situation than filming:
a) in the writer's bedroom, where they can control everything,
b) outdoor scenes in bright sunlight in secluded areas they can reasonably expect not to be bothered by lots of onlookers, or
c) outdoor scenes after hours in a less busy area with minimal lighting.

Is it possible that the dark side of brees'character has had to be brought forward in terms of the story arc,,so we find our selves in a rush to catch up with clues that were only laid 24 hrs ago,
Well, Game on

I don't know if she was really slurring, but I have noticed that Jessica (maybe it's just Bree, guess more interviews can show us) has a bit of a lisp. She has trouble with the letter "L" and says things like "junguh gym" instead of "jungle gym." I picked it up here and it reminded me that I've heard her do it a few times before.

It seemed to me that Bree was acting like she was drunk (or on drugs...) in this video. She was slurring her words, and acting sillier than normal.

I converted it to mpg and then lightened it up. You can see what's going on better, but I didn't see any thing that hasn't already been discussed in this thread.
IMHO - She seems like she's getting to be a little high-maintenance for somebody who doesn't put out. What's keeping Daniel around?

I just noticed that "In The Park" has more rankings on YouTube than views. That seems uncanny.
