I've noticed this about Nikki from the beginning, but this time more than usual: Her show is targeted at kids. Like, small children. Seriously, it feels like I'm watching Blue's Clues. But I'm not a little kid, so her delivery is really condescending.
This is kind of a new topic, but is there any way we can estimate an age breakdown of all LG viewers? This is not rhetorical, I really would like to know. Do the creators have demographic information on their audience? Knowing this is integral to marketing the show. I know Nikki is friendfic, but that aside, they often seem to be catering to a very young crowd. Is this approach justified? All I know is what I've observed, that yes, there are young kids watching, but far and away it seems to be adults. Miles mentioned on their call-in show they "agonized" over using "f-bombs." and wanted the show to be accessible to 11 year olds. If the vast majority of the audience is adults, that's silly. Anyone with hard numbers?

Haha I did like the gather round... murder and intrigue lines. (Shouldn't have done it again at the end though.) She reminds me of Lorelai from Gilmore Girls, pretty juvenile but is still rather funny makes some good references like the above one.
The delivery when she describes what's been happening lately though was overly kiddie. She's not always THAT bad. I liked her random naming of people and fudging the names to make the initials work.
"What is with the violence and the mayhem?!" Maybe she's rather juvenile because, after asking Jonas to take off his shirt, she seems to be the voice of the phorum, who has been making that request since the very beginning of him showing up.
