Look..I am still a new kid - but unlike most new kids I don't mind kicking up the dirt...
FRankly, there is some really nteresting discussion going on in the phorum concerning what few new clues are available..specifically the symbol on the box Daniel found.
Now I always thoguht the medicine thing was a little sketchy but they are drawing a lot of things together.
Granted, it is really hard to sift through all the bullshit over there but at least they are actively persuing the mystery.
I stay here because I know this is where the "brains" are - not flattering people just an observation. I think I noted that before in one place or another that I am basically a casual viewer; a fan...I dig the story line, I dig the nystery and I dig chatting about it.
I do like the higher level dicsussions about the qualityof the writing and the future of the genre et cetera, but really I'm just in it for the story. I can't presume to critique peoples work when I have nothing close to the talent I have seen here.
Every once in a while I see someone pose a theory and I get psyched, but it always fizzles out...maybe it's just that the story has fizzled out or that - WORSE - your interest has fizzled out. That would really bum me out
I would hate to be left with those numbskulls over in the forum. They do seem to take a more aggressive stance in things but mostly it's crap.
Ok...I've started a thread that may gather me quite a bit of thunder, but I just wanted to know if I was the last one interested in the fun parts.
cheers
BTW...I still dig hanging out here anyway. ;D
and also...I'm not going to go back and check my spelling becasue I was writing "in the flow" and I don't think I want to edit it.
tada! cheers again

I'm actually still interested in the mystery of it all. I'm not knowledgeable about medicine and all to delve into that part of it, but I do think a good mystery is fun. I even enjoy the hare brained theories that people come up with. They can aways lead somewhere productive as they're tweaked and twisted. I don't discuss it all very much because it does fizzle out. but, maybe if we start digging and try to figure out where this is all going, we can goad others into joining.

Slainte, I feel your pain...
But I also have clue fatigue, mostly because the majority of these "clues" (and there are MANY) never seem to go anywhere. I would like to chalk this up to sophistication of the writing, but I would have a hard time believing they can ever resolve all the old "clues" and yet more are continually dropped. I like the medical turn, but it is a looooong ways from the days of Crowley, Hathor Beer, and Cobra Venom Shooters.
This is perhaps the biggest reason we are not all over every little nuance. Perhaps we need to have a "clue amnesty" and start afresh!

I agree. I think I said somewhere else, everyone here seems to devote so much time to the neho or weho or whatever it is. I wish we'd all get back to bree.

Do you remember reading Jayhenry's 7 stages of LG?
I can relate this to faith as well. When you really truely believe in something, you have blind faith that no matter what, it will all turn out right in the end. I've lost faith in LG. I don't want to keep posting and sound negative for every episode I watch. But that is all that will come out of my mouth (hands). I am seriously not happy with Bree being at Jonas' house and feel really manipulated at how they got her there (Holly's poll). I'm disappointed that there is a lack of continuity and all of the holes that aren't being tied up neatly. They can't even reliably have an episode every day or frequently at a set time. Those are BIG plusses that Sam7 and nohos have.
There is little doubt that the creators first were discussing bree's religion as something related to crowley and that has totally changed into the Order? A non religious group that is somehow bad, kidnapped her parents, and has everyone in the who's who book involved? Now with the introduction of some new medicine and the infinity symbol, are we moving to a terrorist plot? A LOST TV Show plot with forgotten hippie groups controlling the world? Are we moving to an alien plot?
I will still watch them but every clue that was once analyzed to death has meant literally moot at this point in time. Or analysis will not lead to closer to an answer because I don't think the creators know yet themselves. It feels like the Blind leading the Blind.

Les..I do remember reading "JayHenry's 7 stages of LG" and iat was really right on. Very good points. "Georgie"....Great idea on the "clue amnesty" Ha....they have gone WAAAAaaayyyy over the line of tolerance as far as that's concerned. And "Hooked"...I HATE it when that sh** fizzles there seems to be as many red herrings as there are clues.
I think the "authors" are collapsing under the weight of all those clues and plot twists, but I think I sense the presence of some professional writers taking things over.
Hey! It's the Season of Miracles y'all...maybe something will happen - the BandE episode shows a great deal of promise.
Hippo Holly-days everyone

i started watching lg15 because of the mysteries both real-life and in the plot. i keep watching because i do try to stay invested in the plot mystery, but much more now just because of the people here.
i'm not giving up, just becoming more sane about it all, i hope.

I totally agree with Milo's assessment. I highly doubt I would have gotten hooked on LG if I started watching the things we see now. There'd be nothing special to it. The only things which keep me connected to it is the community I have become invested in along with remembrances of things past and the greatness it once had which drew me in so much.

OK, I will rehash a few things. Most of the folks on this board are working adults or serious students, some with families, significant others, etc. IOW, we have lives outside LG. I used to feel bad that the phorumites would beat us to the "clues", but not so much anymore. I personally have a job and family and can't just keep hitting refresh all day to wait for the latest vid. Many of the phorumites appear to be HS or College students who appear to have the time available to do so, more power to them. I personally was always out drinking beer and chasing young ladies at that age, but whatever floats their boat! ETA: I am gonna go out on a limb and postulate that a phorumite with greater than 2000 posts (and several do) isn't getting much, uhm, "action" . At least not with a real live person... Just think of the potential revenue Telegraph Ave. is missing by not selling blow-up Bree and Jonas dolls to these folks on the LG15 store. I digress... Anyway, I think we can still participate in all of this, from many different perspectives. It's just a little slower here, fits well with our Cove metaphor.

At least when a video comes out, we can have real good, susinct dialogue about it. A new phenomenon at the phorum now, besides 20 page long threds for each movie, is to start the speculation when the thumbnail shows up before the movie even comes out. No lie, they are typically on PAGE 3 of the discussion before the movie even loads. It's just so overwhelming, only people with no lives are able to keep up with that.

Well, I'm a new kid around here, but I have looked at the other forum. There are some crazy speculations going on. I don't want to consider vampire plots or some virgin sacrifice. I don't want to get involved in that kind of high level speculation for nothing. Everything over there leads to the Illuminati. And people keep adding and adding and adding to these theories. I don't have much to add to wild goose-chases, but I would add my ideas to a theory that holds water and is presented with evidence other than from some wiki link or random google searches. I'm not sure if anything is worth researching until the writers are consistent with presenting clues that seem to find a resolution in the plot. (As so many others have pointed out.) I look forward to that day again, Slainte and all.
Happy Holidays to all! I have enjoyed lurking and contributing my two bits here. You're a nice group to be involved with. I look forward to seeing what you all come up with when I return after the holidays!
