Episode 43: You Screwed MeDescription: Josh blames Ben for Lauren's visit. Recap: Ben shows up at Josh's motel and says he's worried about him because he's been ignoring his calls and skipping school. Josh blames him for Lauren showing up because Ben was supposedly the only one who knew that he lived in a motel. Ben shows him the teeth and demands answers. He says he thinks something will go down and he wants to know that Josh isn't involved (here I'm guessing he's referring to the msgs he's been getting). Flashbacks about Josh's mysterious past, we learn another juicy tidbit about what happened with his mom and dad.

I can't imagine what would motivate me to keep his teeth. Is there any reason a person would do this? maybe the tooth fairy rejected them? but maybe he knew the police use dental records to identify bodies, so he pulled the teeth. why he would keep them, i don't know.

Wow, that was a lot of information for such a short episode! It was good. The reflections in the window distracted me a little bit though! Just a question - wasn't there a whole bag of teeth in the case? Like, more than just out of one mouth? The reason I ask is that maybe the teeth weren't from the mouth of the guy he shot, well at least not all of them anyway. Do we know that that is his father/step-father? He could have been a drug dealer or a pimp or some other kind of criminal. And also, we see that the case was already there with a gun in it. I don't think it was Josh's at this point. I think maybe it belonged to the guy that was fighting with, what is assumed to be, his mother. And maybe the mother was involved in what ever shady business the guy was in, and it involved the case/teeth. This could be why Josh holds onto it - so his mother doesn't get into trouble. I dunno. This probably should go in the predictions thread... but I'm not really predicting it, just guessing at a different scenario other than mother/father domestic violence, because it makes more sense a this point if he's a criminal, and the mother was involved in the crime/s. However, I guess that's not to say he isn't involved romantically with Josh's mum. Hmm... Sorry I'm rambling a bit!

yes, there was a whole bag of teeth. he is credited as step-father on imdb. he could be both a step dad and a nasty criminal. I'm going with the theory that the case belonged to the step-father. not sure what nefarious activity he was into...
