Ep17: U Should ComeDescription: Everyone is totally excited about Nikki's party this weekend. Runtime: 1:36 (that includes the ads, so a shorter episode today) Milo's Recap: OK, they drill into our heads that Ben IS REALLY BUSY with all his extracurriculars. There's a party at Nikki's this weekend! AWESOME. And Jill goes crazy at Lauren for, like, calling her "mom." (Lauren reserves appointments with her future therapist for years to come.)

This is Nikki's second party in two weeks, right? Are her parents never home?
Lauren is seriously starting to creep me out with those furtive side glances after she argues with her mom. I kinda feel bad for her character though... they're making her out to be one of those people who put their best face forward even when things on the home front really suck. Then as a result, most people probably diss her for being too flirty. Also the timing was kinda weird, the way she pulled Danica away just before Jill came on to Ben reminded Ben about the meeting.

I think they explained somewhere that Nikki's parents were going out of the country for two or three weeks.
Actually, this is at least her third or fourth party. There was the pool party, the party that Lauren and Danica went to after Lauren got in that fight with her mom, and another party that they all talked about on MySpace.

Oh, that's true... how big do you think their high school is? Just wondering since it seems like these parties are open door.

Just wondering since it seems like these parties are open door. i think this is left to our interpretation, that way more people can identify with their own high school experience. but realistically, to be a stereotypical american experience, the high school probably has to have at least a few hundred students, and maybe lots more.

I got the impression that they were only open door for the cool kids aka, the soccer players and the hot girls. I don't see any evidence that ugly girls are allowed into these parties.

ROFL! great picture! I got the impression that they were only open door for the cool kids aka, the soccer players and the hot girls. I don't see any evidence that ugly girls are allowed into these parties. Ahh, that might be it. It's just that the way Lauren just brought Danica along, and the way Courtney was randomly told "you should come" even though she didn't even know about the party (ie, must have not been invited), made me think maybe anyone could go. But now that you mention it, Jay, I see no evidence that ugly girls are admitted into Edward Adams High at all! Hm!
