ok i figured i would ask you guys this since you seem real good at tracking things down.
i am trying to find an old friend of me. we both used to be real close but she left and got married and i did as well. well its been about 4 years. i have tried to email her but her old emails (the two i knew of) come back as bad. i checked myspace at her high school. and i couldnt find her there either.
i have exhausted all of my supplies. short of calling the paper and asking for the marriage records that they put in the announcments. or calling her mom. but i dont want to do either of those. her mom never knew me (the girl and i chatted on line)
so what else can you think of to try and find her?

a few other options: classmates.com & reunion.com (i actually joined a few high schools as "alumni" during the bree hunt!) i assume you tried yahoo people search and/or other phone directory sites? people.yahoo.com/ - After that i know there are some fairly inexpensive sites that are good for tracking people down. I don't know which are best. Someone did it to track Mrs. Milo down a few years ago, it was quite surreal.

If you know what state she got married in can't you request a marriage certificate? I was surprised that I was able to order a bunch of old family birth certificates just based on faith that they really were my old relatives and that I was working on a family tree (which all happens to be true, but I was surprised no one asked for any proof before sending me a lot of information and official documents)

but the problem with people finders (i have looked at some) is that i dont know her married name, just her maiden one the pay sites don't seem troubled by that, based on what happened to my wife. as long as this person had some credit history under her old name/address, its easy to link up the dots. [is anyone else afraid of noa surfacing in this thread to chastise us? where are you noa?]

[is anyone else afraid of noa surfacing in this thread to chastise us? where are you noa?] I fear that it might have been noa's new years resolution to run away from the Cove. I guess we will just have to use the methods we discover in this thread to hunter her down and force her to come back

what would noa get mad at us?
i think the problem is this. i dont know her new last name. and when i type her name in names come up but more than one, and none really stood out to me. do you think i can call the newspaper and see if they have it in thier records from when they put it in the newspaper? assuming that they did it there.
now i do have her moms phone number, and i thought about calling and talking to her mom but i am nervous too. i dont want her mom to think i am a wierdo

what would noa get mad at us? i say that mostly tongue in cheek because noa disagrees with some of the tactics used to track down the creators of lg15. if you have a local library with Nexis access, you may be able to search the newspaper archives online.

A good site I learned of from the LG searching is zabasearch.com Also, in addition to myspace, you could check for a facebook or friendster profile. Also googling any kind of username (maybe the first part of the old email) might give you a lead. If you know the exact date of when the wedding announcement was in the paper, I'd call the paper, cause they could easily look it up by date. If you just have the name, you're probably better off with the internet. As for Noa, and might I add, Jay Henry, as long as they keep logging into their myspace, we haven't lost complete contact.
