warning: not for bush supporters ... "lonelydem07"YT Summary: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-FcX0tVf7EWhat if "lonelygirl15" hadn't just been a corporate "viral" marketing dealie? What if it had been a real attempt to personify the collective voice and wisdom of the interwebnettubes? We thought: "what would she say? If she only said stuff, y'know, that we liked?"....

I thought it was funny... kind of... but there wasn't actually anything that made me laugh or was all that creative. It was just weirdness prevailing. The rain subpoenas part was kind of funny, though it was quite the climax of insanity that had permeated the whole thing. Also, I really don't get the impeach Bush movement. First, do we need to get dragged through that crap again like with Clinton? I think Republicans regret doing that now and probably would have won the 2000 election outright had they not got tangled up in that stuff. Furthermore, we all know Cheney is the one running the show, or at least is the one who caused all the stupid stuff Bush enacted that people now want to impeach him for, so basically it'd be a hard fight to get the real culprit in office. Unless they want to impeach Cheney at the same time, resulting in new President... NANCY PELOSI? Oh I get it now... Though I doubt it's possible to impeach (and then convict by the Senate) at the same time, so more likely they'd get Cheney out, a new VP gets appointed, then Bush is out, and then that new mystery VP becomes President. Oh that'd be great for the country wouldn't it? But yeah, all this is useless speculation anyway, as it's not going to happen.

That is the beauty of YT personified. Tastless, crass, somewhat funny, but freedom of expression on a whole new level. Cool. Even somewhat cheesy political satire is good in my book. For years we had to rely on Michael Moore, SNL, and newspaper cartoonists for this kind of thing. Now anyone with a desk lamp and a $130 camera can do it. Power to the people!
I would love to see the Bob Jones University crowd rebuttal video, but they aren't allowed to watch YT...

Yeah, I didn't think it was funny, but its absurdity is just a reflection of the frustration people have with Bush. Hye, it's my understanding that Congress has a duty to investigate Bush, and if the evidence leads down a road where impeachment is appropriate, then that will necessarily have to be done for the good of our system. People resented the Clinton impeachment because it was about lying about sex. Bush is accused of lying us into war and disregarding the constitution, and people feel differently about that. But due process and proper investigation will have to occur. Pelosi won't be president. Your second speculation is I think what would happen. Bush would have to appoint someone that the Senate would confirm. Maybe McCain? And yes, I think that would be better for our country than Bush as president.

Yeah, I didn't think it was funny, but its absurdity is just a reflection of the frustration people have with Bush. i think the vid is supposed to appeal mostly to hard core lefties, i.e., daily kos type folks, who are taking the impeachment idea seriously. i don't think the democrats are going to go there, to avoid the debacle of last time. they are already looking forward to 2008. Frankly, if the scenario we are discussing occured (Cheney resigns, new VP appointed, Bush resigns/impeached&convicted, unelected VP becomes president, just like Ford), and it was McCain who became president, he'd have a much better chance of being elected outright in 2008 (assuming he doesn't pardon Cheney or Bush, which was the thing that killed Ford).

Will reading Virginia's Screens Blog I saw this in the replies to her latest "suggested viewing": Congresswoman Sherri DavisUnder the "Mia Rose and other YouTube Cheaters" category, if you do a YouTube Search on the words "Sherri Davis", you come up with multiple channels of her work, complete with multiple faux subscribers. The Series is moderately amusing, but do they really have to resort to cheating this way? Sigh. At least Bree and Daniel, while self-referential, did distinct vlogs and didn't appear to have faux subscribers. G'night all, FLWright
