The reason I picked this handle is because I was a huge fan of the cartoon when I was a kid ( still am when I can find it on tv). I would be so worried I would not make it home in time for Johnny Quest.
It all started with a cat and mouse, the "Tom and Jerry" cartoons won seven Academy Awards, more than any other series with the same characters. Hanna-Barbera received eight Emmy Awards, including the Governors Award of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
I was to young to go see them play in the theaters but I loved them on tv. The duo did not get the same fame as Disney but they sparked millions of kids imagine. . The fact I can talk to several generations about there work is a testament to how there work will live forever. They were true artist in so many ways. Sure the budgets were not big the same background being repeated over and over is often made fun of but the enjoyment they brought is unmeasurable.

wow, thanks for that post, quest. Hanna Barbera produced many shows that i loved as a kid. They were far more influential than disney on me.
- The Flintstones - The Jetsons - Magilla Gorilla - Hong Kong Phooey - Grape Ape - Scooby Doo
- The Smurfs?! We can laugh about it now, but man were those things popular. They were on for about 90 minutes on Saturday mornings at their peak.
"Scooby's All Star Laff-A-Lympics: Including more than 45 HB cartoon characters in olympic type events. There were 3 different teams: Really Rottens, Scooby Doobys, and the Yogi Yahooeys. Snagglepuss and Mildew Wolf were the announcers. Premiered 1977." I LOVED this as a kid. It had all the HB stars in it.

My son is still enjoying his work as much as I did at his age.
I loved the Jetsons, but I am still a little disappointed I don't have a flying car by now.
Thanks Doc, wonderful memories flooded my brain.
