Does anyone know what's going on with another crazy cabal we seem to have on our hands. As we mentioned at some point briefly, the notoriously insane and fake Daxflame had something going on with the even more infamous GreenTeaGirlie. I really don't pay attention to this crap, but I think she made response videos to him and it wasn't a one-way obsession. After GreenTea, he moved on and now he and LisaNova are exchanging insulting videos. There's obviously some sort of behind the scenes coordination going on with these people- but who/what/when/where/why? Last I heard of Dax, his dad is his manager who tries to promote on-line talent or something and is from Texas. I don't know who is behind GreenTeaGirlie, only because I haven't paid much attention, however we obviously know she is a front for something too. Meanwhile LisaNova I know has been on MadTV, so I guess she acts alone, however she always has multiple people in her videos and they seem to be rather professionally put together, so it's not like she's a stand-alone blogger who got a break by doing her own thing alone either. I'm guessing these three joined forces seeing as they are all big names on YouTube to continue to their conquest and get bigger off each other. This is just speculation, but seems likely- especially since there are people pulling the strings behind at least two of them and are out for publicity and/or money. Normally I wouldn't bring this up, however it is important (in respects to youtube) seeing as the current number 2 and 4 discussed videos are Dax's and LisaNova's latest videos to each other and are both up the most viewed charts as well.
(This has taken center stage now that top viewed, discussed, and favorited videos can be seen on the main page like the featured videos, making them even more prominent. I think youtube needs to do something about the filthier stuff which continuously shows up at the top of the viewed list, as it undermines the site.)

Greenteagirlie is actually a real person who works at a green tea stall in a mall. Her rise to popularity was the result of 2 things: 1) a Friend who was practicing his viral marketing techniques to demonstrate how easy it is to get someone popular on youtube 2) The discoverer of Jessica Rose's real identity trying to drum up clients for a new marketing business that takes someone else's popularity and use it for marketing tyheir own products. Source (was LA times and Chicago Tribune): www.topix.net/content/trb/2668730352219261415033414614021719506999GTG seems to be just riding off the fame, LisaNova is riding off the fame and Dax... is just scarey.

Not to get off topic, but what the heck had GTG done to get famous anyway? Because all I seem to remember is her first video being 10 seconds and having hundreds of thousands of views. Did they use a view-cheater to get her on the most viewed list and people started to latch onto her from there because she's hot? Cause if all she needed to do is look good in a 10 second video to become one of the most talked about people on youtube, well then the stock of youtube stars just dropped because it that'd prove some people don't have to do a thing to get famous, despite all the alleged hard work some of them claim it is (and which it is in some cases- but this GTG anomaly ruins it for the rest of them by cheapening it so badly.)

As much as I dislike smosh, at least they "did stuff" to get where they are. For good or for ill, they have some sort of "product" they dole out to the masses. GTG gave 10 seconds and (relatively speaking) probably got far more fame out of that. She didn't do anything to deserve her place, in my opinion.
Of course neither did miarose, and her corpse of an account still lingers at number 3, despite never doing anything with it. The other accounts just haven't overtaken it yet, nor are they close. I guess that's a good thing because I was afraid activity on youtube would grow exponentially to the point where tons of things could get huge amounts of subscribers cheaply.

FYI, VenetianPrincess has now also joined the Daxflame money train, as her latest video features him. Will it ever stop?

What to make of Dax's latest venture for cash? www.youtube.com/watch?v=ME9HOBpR8Ag"Introduction to my own partnership program!
Details of my program: -Become part of history/famous!
-Get thousands of views! No risk involved!
-Leave 20 comments on each new video that says: I'm Daxflame partnership/friend!
-Pay 1 dollar per view or a monthly fee of 3,000 dollars!
Also I talk about my Hinz commercial!" How bizarre is this? I just can't read this character. I often can't tell if he's really trying to scam people or if it's all tongue in cheek. Though I'm leaning towards the latter because it is just so out there. Why would you pay him for something you can do for free? And with comments of his like, "I don't care about the money. I'm only here for fame, friends and fortune," I would think this has to be a satire. Thoughts?

Well we know his dad runs some sort of talent company, so Daxflame is part of a wider business and makes it conceivable they do want to make some money out of this.
Has YouTube started paying its big stars yet? Even if they did I doubt Daxflame is one of them, and like lg15 everyone is trying to figure out how to turn their youtube fame into a buck. After all, being a yt star takes a lot of work (or a lot of cheating/free promotion by yt ehem miarose & co.) and so people feel like they deserve money for it in some way. How to turn that into actual money has been a pressing thought on many yters.
Interestingly, I know a channel who recently messaged Dax and asked if he could accept their videos as responses. He read but never responded. Perhaps that inspired him ehh?
I am trying to watch it and understand his plan, but I really don't get it. First part makes sense, spam him so he gets on the most commented list. In return he accepts your video as a response to his, so it will be in a semi-prominent place. People do this all the time for free with the featured videos, however most people don't accept anyway but occassionally one just automatically accepts them or them all and it ends up with like 100 video responses. And here lies the problem Dax: He gets an average number of views around the 65k. So far he has 17 video responses. Lets say this idea took off and he had 50 or 100 people join this plan (flat rate of 3000 per video?! wtf?! so I can't imagine they actually would but still). I don't know about you, but I usually don't check out the video responses to youtube videos. Let's be generous and say half of his viewers do check one out. Leaving out the unlikely possibility that they will watch it and go back to watch another response, there is a 1 in 4 chance that they will see your video in the first minutes or hours of this. However, once 4 vids get ahead of you, you are no longer on the main page and you have to hope for the even more unlikely chance that they'll hit the arrow to see your video. If, for example, 5 peoeple add a response in the time it takes Dax to check and approve them, then the first person to have added it will get his automatically displayed when approved with the rest with his being on the second page and the other four displayed. That person will get royally screwed as his video will never get front page view. Those videos which are not the last 8 or 12 shown are not even in that front page collection of responses and would necessitate someone to click the view all responses button to find their video, where it would be in with 50 to 100 videos, making the odds of it actually being seen even more infinitely small. So far with 17 videos the average Dax response vid has a hundred or so views, maybe 2 if lucky. Are 200 views on youtube worth $3000?? This is why I hope it's satire. One also has to consider Dax still purports he is real, so it makes you wonder what kind of an account or location he'd have people send the money to. I guess paypal but seeing as none of the details of such a transaction where listed its doubtful he's serious.
On a final note, I think Dax is wrong on all counts, don't look to youtube for fame, friends, OR fortune cause you're find none of it there!
