" The Daily Reel" is a website that I have linked to a number of times for lg15, prom queen, etc., articles. I never really looked into it, but its purpose is to be the Variety of internet video. Here is a video interview with the managing editor: www.laist.com/archives/2007/05/10/laist_interview_the_daily_reels_alexandra_delyle.php"A couple weeks back we interviewed Alex Delyle, managing editor of the West Hollywood-based startup The Daily Reel at the Economics of Social Media conference. "[The Daily Reel] covers online video the way Variety covers Hollywood and the entertainment business," explained Delyle. We also got some tips on making a hit viral video (hint: forget the felines) and that, if you've got what it takes to be the next big Ze Frank or Lonelygirl15, The Daily Reel just might help take you all the way, baby." among other things, she talks about covering the will ferrell video with the ask the ninja people. nothing earth shattering in here.
