...on the other side.
Although it may always look like more inviting grazing territory, it is often once you cross the bridge to the promised land that you realise what you already had, was actually what you wanted.
Not knowing for certain whether this whole project was real or not seems to have played a large role in peoples feelings over the recent statement.
When we were unsure as to the truth, everyone wanted to know what was going on but now we are in the know many people are feeling let down and dissapointed.
People may say that it was the manner in which it was announced that dissapointed them, but I maintain that whatever way they revealed it to us would be a let down. The only situation I think that would not have been an anticlimax would be if they kept their mouth shut and the LG community did eventually 'out them' with concrete proof.
People are suggesting the announcement should have been made with the release of new material or an updated website, however if that did happen then I get the feeling people would then feel cheated. It may come across as if the creators had given up worrying about the story and were more interested in our money. I don't think this statement from the team suggests they are 'out to get' the fans at all.
IMO they were aware that the LA times were going to run a piece, revealing specific infomation about the project, on friday morning and wanted to tell *their* fans before the press did.
Sounds like we might be loosing quite a few members of the LG community, but I for one am sticking around because I do care about what happens to Bree. I cannot disassociate myself from her so readily, I have grown very found of Bree over the last few months, so having everyones largest suspicion comfirmed hardly changes anything for me.
I understand people react differently, and are entitled to their own opinions. I just wanted to record my feelings and perhaps help our community see the positives.
Cheers,
Wixy
