This is to prove that the cassieiswatching stuff is seperate and not endorsed by teh bree things.
Kk for this to work you have to make two assumptions i belive to be true.
#1 that Jessica Rose's Myspace is strictly for Jessica Rose and is in its entirelty seperate from the whole Bree thing.
#2 that the whole Bree vids thing is not part of an ARG which basically the creators have said that its not.
ok here we go
point #2 should be enough to prove that its fake, but today on Jessica Roses Myspace cassieiswatching makes a statement "make it stop" now there would be no need for that. jessicas myspace has nothing to do with lg15. its her myspace to talk to her fans. has cassie done that on the lg15 myspace i might think it was maybe real.
but i think the whole ciw is stupid and distracts from the lg15 storyline.
what do you all think

I'm not so sure.
The video quality is the same as the Bree videos. It's very hard to find such good video quality once something has been compressed for the web.
I'm pretty much waiting for the video of the bag.
I don't ever recall the creators saying it was not an ARG, but correct me if I'm wrong. They've actually said that it's a very fan driven storyline.

Basically this is the story-- Cassieiswatching on MYSPACE is Fake. Cassieiswatching on YOUTUBE is undecided, but probably real, and if not, really freaking cool.

Yes, "cassieiswatching" on MySpace is a faker who has not done anything to establish a connection to the LG15 plotline.
But the original "cassieiswatching" on YouTube posted a video shot at the "Swimming!" locations on the evening of September 12 - before anyone had any idea where those locations were. The YouTube "cassieiswatching" also posted very specific directions to the site.
So, you're right that the MySpace "cassieiswatching" is an unconnected fake troublemaker.
But the YouTube "cassieiswatching" is for real.
I don't understand why the creators didn't reserve "cassieiswatching" on MySpace. That's the same mistake they made by not reserving "danielbeast" and "lonelygirl15" on MySpace - both of those names are fakes on MySpace, too. You'd think they would have learned.

One theory with teeth is that the Cassie subplot is a pocket AU version of the Breeniverse, produced by some but not all of the original developers. So it's a tie-in in the way that computer games based on X-Men movieverse, CSI, and the X-Files, and novels set in the Star Wars universe, were tie-ins but not full canon.
IOW, they are canon unless and until the original storyline contradicts them.
See the Donnie Darko Director's Cut for a good example of how this works.
I believe it was originally Virginia who suggested this was produced by a mild schism within the creators.

They haven’t because to some degree they do encourage people to take the story and run with it in their own direction. For example look at the DB MySpace, the behind the scenes blog has become an enjoyable side project that has grown from HyeMew owning that site. It has no relationship to the creators, but they must still enjoy it somewhat, after all the unnamed Teddy Bear officially gained the name Thor because of it. I think they will look at the popular pieces of fan fiction and add the bits they like to the official canon. If they locked up every possible name they would be constricting other people’s creative freedoms and it would be counter productive to what they want to accomplish. This policy will of course lead to a lot of useless and annoying fakes, but such is life on the internet.

According to the original casting page for LG15: There is a support rol for a second girl. So it definately could be real.

Could we agree that the term 'fake' is somewhat redundant now?

See the Donnie Darko Director's Cut for a good example of how this works. Word. I would bet this movie and the affiliated Roberta Sparrow material on the web to augment the movie was a big influence on the (still debating on captialization of this word...) creators. Instead of THEM creating web content though, they are letting US create it... I would also add that they are shooting from the hip on a lot of this and letting things develop with a certain degree of entropy. Messy at times, but in a (IMHO) big way one of the appeals of all of this. Edit to add: I hope that they are still posting on this board as moles and are guiding and distracting us as needed. I thought that was/is a really interesting part of all of this...

My one question is, if this is some splinter group of LG15, why aren't they also posting on revver?

My one question is, if this is some splinter group of LG15, why aren't they also posting on revver? I've been wondering about that - LG15 seem to have made Revver into a kind of official channel for their videos, so it could be a quite deliberate move by cassieiswatching to disassociate themselves/itself from The Creators (does anyone else really hate that pompous title with its capitalisation an' all... ) While typing this I had the notion that the title, "cassieiswatching", seems like a conscious attempt to identify with the audience, rather than the authors.
