I'm sorry for attacking you so furiously, sometimes I just can't stop myself. [/sarcasm] Lets just get over this. You stop saying people who seem reasonable and argue their points are just trying to sell us tarot cards in youtube and I'll stop saying anything about you. Let go back to commenting about The story of the children of Anchor Cove. OK?

For those wondering at the veracity of Nos and Cu_Roi, you can look to the rules of Unfiction to see that if they were, indeed, puppetmasters promoting their own game with multiple posts, they would risk Eternal Bannination over there; I think I'm safe in saying both of them have far too much time and effort invested in UF to risk such a thing. UF is strictly out-of-game, and character posting is not allowed. 'Sides, I think they're more sensical than to pull that sort of stunt.

...hmmm, a lot of spots were marked with X's on that first map, is it possible that there were other clues around there that the people who went out there didn't find? I really hope someone didn't get there before Nos and Cu_Roi and replace the bag with a fake clue.

They could take this anywhere. The 1st location is significant only that it was in the previously unknown location of the Swimming video. It tells us that this new "story" is related, but now that we acknowlede that its authentic, it can begin a new path. I don't believe anything Cassie-related has been acknowledged "authentic" yet. The location in the original cassieiswatching YouTube video can only prove that it was produced by someone who has seen the LG15 "Swimming" video. As of yet, that is still the only unimpeachable fact we have. Edited to respond to hophead's comment below -- yes, the YouTube video itself does have some gravity due to Virginia's blog comments. It would indeed be nice to add to our cache of solid info. That one little undisputable fact must be becoming a lonelyfact.

I think that since Virginia plugged it via her NY Times piece on the 12th before anyone else knew about cassieiswatching makes me pretty confident that the Lonelygirl15 people told her it was coming. I rememer her saying the lonelygirl15 camp was divided with where to take the story and split up. I can't remember or find where Virginia wrote that, however. Perhaps we should ask Virginia to clear up what she knows and who told her what.

I don't believe anything Cassie-related has been acknowledged "authentic" yet. The location in the original cassieiswatching YouTube video can only prove that it was produced by someone who has seen the LG15 "Swimming" video. As of yet, that is still the only unimpeachable fact we have. Maybe somebody else already noticed this, but i didn't find this info around: if you look at the "My Parents... Let Us Go Hiking!!!" episode ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=iRO4JP81HPo ) you will notice that Daniel (who's holding the camera) is obsessed by the woods and the waterfall in the background (look around 1:00). The video was uploaded two months ago, so there was already a plot concerning some "mistery in the woods". Bree doesn't look like she knows anything about it, but the video description clears out that daniel did the whole thing <Basically Daniel and I got to go hiking yesterday and he edited it into a cool summery video...yeah Summer!>I don't remember when she asked Daniel about Cassie, but my thought is that the creators had DanielBeast as the killer, Cassie as the last victim, and Bree should be the next (cassie is trying to tell us that bree is in danger). So i wouldn't exclude Cassie from the plot, at all. This is not to say that the cassie myspace or youtube accounts are TRUE. But consider the fact that in this sort of "alternate world" (as the creators called this thing) reality and fiction might be intentionally blurred, by the creators, as well as other people outside of the prod. Hope this helps - *back to lurking*

I'm confused. The box was put into a sealed plastic bag, which would be to protect whatever was in there. So how did that much water get into the box? Also if the card had been on the box for that long with that amount of water surely it would have more damage to it than it had?
Unless they put the water into the box to make it look as if they had been taken out of the stream?

...and way too much hope that this is a real game blooming here. I wouldn't force it. If it fizzles then it fizzles...but I'm praying for a bang. Hey Cu Roi, I guess we might owe you an apology. Most people on here at not ARG-savvy, because the original content we have been following just didn't attract that kind of crowd. So, at least from me, sorry if the reception had been a little harsh and paranoid. I edited some of my earlier comments, as I now understand the context and etiquette of regular players at least a little bit better. Either way, I don't think there will be a bang. If you follow the history of the LG15 phenomenon, then at the very least one thing is clear. The Creators are completely overwhelmed by their success, and obviously a little out of their depth in trying to deal with it on many levels. Some examples would be audience communication, background research and community management. I just simply do not see them having the time, experience and foresight to set up an ARG about this in the timeframe we are looking at here. Maybe some vanity clues, but nothing elaborate. I guess the underlying suspicion then is, so they know an ARG would be great for even more loyalty and audience growth. But they don't know how to do it. What better than to get some veterans in the mix. As addlepated has pointed out, this might not be the way to do it though after all. That all being said the LG15 content and investigation has been great fun. Our bang so far, was being part of getting this unknown actor plastered all over mainstream media, not bad for a little googling (right, just don't hurt me). This might be the work of a renegade, or split-creator, as has been mentioned above. I would then question motive, as the ties to some quick revenue schemes are already solidifying. I think right now we are at a dead end, because we cannot discern anymore what the authoritive voice is and what is pure opportunism. Either way, glad to have you and Nos onboard, and I hope you get to like it here. The more I think about it, the more I would love to have an ARG over a video community as well. It just seems more exciting, more immersive. Edit: I do like your video, but I can also see why it aggravated some people. I guess anything that does not look obviously amateur created creates a lot of suspicion. I think some voice over comentary would have been great. I did like the respect though with which it has been presented, just misinterpreted it before.

Unless they put the water into the box to make it look as if they had been taken out of the stream? It was a ziplock bag. It was 'thrown' into the water. It's been 'submerged' for days. Water got in after a certain amount of time. Yay for karma. =)

Aaah, I just caught up on this whole thread and my head is SPINNING! Congrats to Cu for finding the bag whether it was real ((which I doubt because of what Cassie said)) or planted ((by someone who was there first, I do not think that Cu planted it).
I really hope this turns into an ARG and if it does, one that I can participate ((Cassie, if you are watching, find a friend in Rhode Island or Fall River area Mass to plant a clue! I'd be there in A SECOND))
Good work, everyone!

So from that we can know for sure that the ebay and myspace cassie's are fake; and the tarot card was not hers. But now the question is: where did her bag go?? My head hurts from reading all of this.

Yes, where is the bag? Or was there even a bag?
One theory seems to be, that if this Cassie is renegade that the original Creators might have destroyed the original clue, to not let their story be hijacked. This is my story now, almost sounds like a direct challenge. And they, of course, knew exactly where the lake was.
I don't know this is a bit ... uhm ... underwhelming.

Cassie's Youtube is UPDATED!!: i am the only cassie myspace lies i don't play cards I totally think this reponse was prompted by my pwesome windows movie maker skillz ;D Man, that would be really upsetting if this ARG couldn't happen because some pranksters in LA are going to attempt to figure out and switch every clue before we can.
