In the interests of openess, I thought I'd post my thoughts on this.
If everything is all tied into some movie release, and we take 10/12 as a hint of the release date, is there anything released on that date that could be a possible lead?
Furthermore - and this is just a though as well... Bree claims to have lived in places other than the US. Pretty much every other country on the planet would view 10/12 not as October 12, but as December 10. What if it is this date that is being signposted?
Does December 10 relate to anything LG-based?
A movie release? Brian Flemming? Crowley? A historial event?

I'm pretty sure the mod didn't delete it; he merged it into another thread. Webcuts would fit in terms of content. There are no movie releases (at least listed on IMDB) that are on October 12th. There are a couple horror movies coming out on October 13th (which is, after all, Friday the 13th), but neither seems to me in any way even vaguely connected to Bree or Cassie or Daniel or Thelema or Crowley. Virginia reported on the introduce yourself thread that she got an admission (albeit what she terms a dubious one) today from a video game designer, but the research that was done on the old board didn't point to any video games coming out that day. There are too many book releases to really rule that out, I think, but as an author, I would say it's unlikely to be a big-name publisher if it is a promo for a book release. Nothing against publishers, but they don't tend to think quite this far outside the box when it comes to promoting books. It could be an author on his/her own, but I personally think it's unlikely (just because the next chapter of the story, to my mind, doesn't lend itself to text). EDIT: Oh, and also, no movie releases on IMDB for December 10th. (I agree it's possible that they're using the non-American dating system, but the fact of Crowley's birthday makes that unlikely, imo.) FURTHER EDIT: Thanks for the heads-up, Terryfic. Will modify from now on. -John www.sparksflyup.com

Not sure if I should put this in the religion board or not, but... October 12 is a holiday in Thelema. We know that it is Crowley's B-day, but it is an actual holy day included on the Thelema calendar. It is called Crowleymas, and according to the wiki it is celebrated with "comical rites". For whatever that means. Maybe one of these "rites" is one that Bree will be participating in?

We may be too tied to that date. It could've been put there to throw us off. I mean, we're dismissing video game theories because of cookie ratings that we've "irrefutatably" decided are the date of something to come?

There's also an LA film festival going on that date www.lashortsfest.com/but after doing some digging through the films debuting, I'm not sure there's a connection.

What if the climax of the LG clips was an invitation / advertisemetn to a Friday the 13th movie release? Who says LG has to be a character in the movie - maybe LG is a story that parallels or simply points to the movie. LG or DB have a scary interaction with one of the movie characters, for example?

If it is all a big advertisment campaign, I am interested to know how and why the developers thought it would get as much attention as it has had.

Maybe i am a little slow on the up take here...but did anyone else know that Aleister Crowley followers follow a code system when communicating? It is a combination of numbers and symbols that reference certain meanings and teachings There is quite an interesting article here on how one was deciphered (nothing to do with LG but an illustration none the less) members.ozemail.com.au/~trps/24.htmGuess i should stop thinking out loud as I am not being much help but just trying to think 'outside the box' so to speak.

If it is all a big advertisment campaign, I am interested to know how and why the developers thought it would get as much attention as it has had. Having had contact with viral marketing agencies I can say that generally they don't know at all - they simply plan the cmapaign and 'hope' people bite. I am sure there are plenty of viral marketing things out there that failed, and hence we have never heard of them.

Just hope then.
Seems little to base this whole project on, 'high risk, high gain' as they say?
