Why public? Why why why? Ok. Done whining. I can't judge this video objectively. I less than three Bitsie way too much--she is the awesomest new addition to the cast ever. Alex is probably not the greatest material to work with, but she's so natural in her role. She goes from flirty older woman, to ice princess, to victimized little girl without a problem! It bugs me how much the forum always crawls with criticisms about Bitsie... wah wah wah "greasy skin", "weird eyes" wah wah... I turn green with envy at her gorgeousness! She's such a poster child for "effortless beauty"... wish she'd send some tips my way.  |

It bugs me how much the forum always crawls with criticisms about Bitsie... wah wah wah "greasy skin", "weird eyes" wah wah... I turn green with envy at her gorgeousness! She's such a poster child for "effortless beauty"... wish she'd send some tips my way. It seems like every member of the cast has had their appearance criticized. I can understand how beauty is in the eye of the beholder and people are going to disagree, but it's amazing how contentious some people get over it. They argue pro and con. Good thing the discussion stays online. Otherwise we might see grown men and women in a fist fight over something as trivial as Breebrows or Gemmaneck. And so I don't start anything here...I take no public position on these matters. Although I probably did slip once and call Cara from NoHo "hawt." |

I don't really have much to say about this one, *sigh.* They really should give us a reason for why they are not posting private videos. Other than that, I guess it was good to get a bit of an Alex back-story from her point of view.
It gets to me as well when people go on about appearances. It's a part of society that I really hate.

Yousef did really well as OprahBeast, coaxing Alex to share. I liked this one, if only because I think the vlog medium is their strong point and it usually is not jarring or hokey. I think they could easily tell a compelling story, even if it only amounts to exposition, without having to try and film scenes that they don't have the budget for.

They should just stick to the KISS principle in the way they shoot, and focus the complexities on the characters, their relationships, and their relationship to Bree's religion ie. solving the mysteries, cover-ups etc. This is way more realistic anyway. If they were real people, they wouldn't be concerned with filming chase scenes, break-ins etc. They would do what they do and vlog about it later. They would be more concerned with their safety. I think this is better - like the original episodes from Bree's room, with the occasional episode done on location. Like, there was really no need for that helicopter 007 thing that went on a few months ago, just as there was no need to film a chase scene in the desert - that really had no proper explanation anyway. |

i had a little trouble digesting all the facts being thrown at us (and WHY WHY WHY would they make this private), but i like bitsie. she makes it as believeable as it can be considering the material.
what is UP with the meridians?
all talking about budget, miles mentioned on the show last night that they really did go to Mexico to shoot these videos. was that really necessary? it would be interesting if there was something they were traveling to get or see, instead of just following somebody or finding another refuge from the order (and then posting public videos about it).

I mean, they provided her with her job, promotions, everything she has now, basically. She may have not had that much to contribute as an insider, but now she's just on the run with the rest of TAAG. Way to give up their one shot at using the "I" in APHID. Besides, the Order should know where her vacation home is... and if this were any kind of serious show, they'd be coming for her. I wondered whether it was a slip-up, but I wasn't sure... I thought you'd also mentioned the private thing on a different thread, but I wasn't sure what could have caused a change of heart. Hey, maybe the c's meant to write "private" and they slipped up too. Bah, wishful thinking. This video would have been an excellent opportunity to try the "diary-style" private blog. Alex should have had heart-to-heart convos with TAAG, and then spoken about it in her (not a) blog. Then again, the forum received those first Private vids very badly. People kept complaining that The Order wouldn't make these "private videos" so artfully to communicate something to one another. I don't know why they couldn't just accept that a private vid is just a device to tell the audience more about things that can't be blogged about. |

Well.. Alex looks good.. I wouldnt mind too much if I was forced to let her kiss me softly and tenderly.. I wouldnt even put up much resistance.. no need to draw a gun.. I'll just do it if you want me to.. Just ask nicely and I will.. I promise.. No hard feelings.. BTW, should she be on the Juicy Tender Tasty Lips hall of fame or what?
On the other hand.. I've watched like the 100 vids I had missed this months and I just cant get mad anymore.. It has become like the conversations of a porn movie.. No matter what they say and how they say it you know what is going to happen next and you just want it to happen soon.. That's the good part about being away for some time: You dont have to wait to see if girl in the porn movie finally gets married.
So.. I'm still figuring out what the PUBLIC flag means.. Does that means there are vids they wont show on the net? Or does it means The Order is not supposed to watch the PRIVATE vids? Kindda "You got to be sportive.. You have to give a real chance to your enemy to win if you have all the advantage"? Kindda honor code for the bads guys? Dont spoil all the fun too soon?
I'm at the point where I can enjoy the most out of this series because I finally have totally and devotedly accepted nothing has to make sense in this "so called PLOT" thing.. Like "Ok, we are at wonderland and Alice is giving us a guided tour around the place!".. Given this you got to accept that anything is possible (Think you are Neo and this is The Matrix) so common sense and real world rules do not apply here.
Once you have overcomed this traumatic experience you are free and boundaries of reason and logic do not exist anymore.. I'm not a believer now, I'm something better than that: I just couldnt care less!! Damnit, why didnt I see how fun is this a lot sooner? Now I'm free to laugh at anything laughable on this IMS.. And there is plenty of it!
Let me give one example.. This video should not be made public.. Of course! But thats the problem.. Should this have to make sense all of it would have to make sense and LG15 would not exist now as it is! No no no! I want it like it is! Is way more fun like this..
Sad? Dont be! Remember wise Groucho Marx on that movie where he is named the director of an hotel and he decides to randomly change all the numbers of all the rooms every night.. The clerk says "But Mr Director.. Think about the confussion!" and my hero states in all his grandeur "And you think about diversion!"
What else was I about to say.. hmmm.. Oh yeah! You remember when Yousef was about to get dumped from the series and we all screamed at the creators for it.. Gee, looking back I wonder if we really did him a favour! Perhaps he would have a career on acting by now.. Let's hope he doesnt notice.. Shhhhhh!

Alex was brought in for just a couple episode sting. The fans liked her so much that they quickly wrote in this trip to Mexico as an excuse to bring her back. Perhaps they will make her more of a character now, but that was definitely not originally the intention and I think they will be moving on from her, since Miles said they wrote in the trip to Mex to bring her back. Otherwise looks like there was no intention to have her on or in the plot at all.

I'm curious to know because there are people on the LGPedia who want to add Alex to the main page; they really think she's going to become more important.
