Hey I made one too? First! Where's mine? This was almost a "Proving Science Right". And Daniel being laid on top of Jonas with the lines "you wanna lay?" Wow, the writers have got to be doing this on purpose by now.

Hee, I couldn't find my post at first either, Hye. *shrugs*
I did enjoy the sorta(not) devolution to the old PSW days. Although the Donas drinking is getting increasingly old.
And PUBLIC video? If the Order didn't know the Gang was holed-up south of the border before, they sure do now.

Sooooo, basically they followed Alex to Mexico so they could completely ignore her and go get drunk. Makes about as much sense as anything should in the Breeniverse. Hmm, what was less safe? Bree hanging out alone at a truckstop, or wandering around Mexico by herself? Somehow that's acceptable, but taking Jonas to a doctor is just not safe. Does this video qualify as a Proving Science Wrong? I sorta think Men Are From Mars was a similar quasi-PSW format. And who said there was no "ho" in Mexico? I distinctly saw Bree pat Jonas's butt! The boys kinda gross me out when they're drunk, but even I have to admit that Daniel's freakish drunken laughter at the end was funny. Sure he was just drinking?

So meshy, the monologue was great. They love to make fun of Daniel, don't they. Likeable Smart Bree emerges again -- acknowledging the oddity of her position as compared to what girls her age should be doing (didn't I JUST mention that in a recent comment?) Daniel and Jonas getting drunk all the time though is a bit lame.
Oh, the title "Spring Break Sucks" was semi-ridiculous, but it will be good for hits on youtube.
ETA: Flauta's thread starter beat Hye's.

Proving Shoddy Drama Redundant:
Mesh and Jess just nailed this one. Smart, witty, well shot, and edited. Good job all.
Smart Bree is Back. Yeah Mesh!

Yep, the next video will be a "Don't speak too loudly, we have a hangover" type video for sure. The drinking really brought this video down for me. Yes, Daniel and Jonas are young guys. Yes, young guys drink. And yes, they are in Mexico. But does it have to be so over-acted and clichéd? And feature in every second video? The monologue was very well done. I too am glad to see more of the intelligent Bree we started watching the series for, come back again, and the pseudo PSW was a nice touch. But I agree with Trash... one background wasn't enough?! lol Though I am glad they changed from the first background. It confused my eyes too much! (It looks like a flat background, but then again like stairs, but not, but yeah, but no, but yeah... EDIT: OK, I've figured it out - narrow, white corridor with stairs! LOL, these late nights are doing me no good! ) Anyway, I also agree that these 'gay references' have to be more than just Freudian slips at this point! Where are the creators going with this? When Jess leaves are they going to try for a DJ odd couple series?! hmmm....

Jonas said he used to hang out at the bar all the time and then had to stop, and Daniel said both his parents were alcoholics, so I figured that both Jonas and Daniel are alcoholics, although in denial. I'm not saying that's the creators' intent, it's just my interpretation.

I'm not saying that's the creators' intent, it's just my interpretation. I think they are trying to make Daniel have a problem with alcohol in the plot - thus the reason for bringing in his parents' back story. I don't really see why they need this aspect to his character. I don't know if they do it for "light entertainment/comic relief", or if they are building up to something bigger that involves Daniel dealing with alcoholism. At the moment it seems as though they are using it for an excuse to eventually get Daniel and Jonas together, lol. It seriously does though... I, myself, just really don't think that either of their drunken behaviour is very realistic. They seem to do a bit of a clichéd drunk act. I mean, Jonas kissed a pole for Pete's sake! Oh... hang on... Jonas "kissed a pole." Am I reading too much into this?!!! hahaha

That telephone pole had all the makings of a phallic symbol, did it not? Gaylien double entendre, check, check, check. But seriously, even though the episode was more fun to watch than other recent ones, I agree the whole drunk Donas thing is pretty clichéd. Oh, and new Nikki B. episode if anyone wants to watch: youtube

Oh... hang on... Jonas "kissed a pole." Am I reading too much into this?!!! hahaha I have to admit it, when I was Joan's and DB's age I was pretty much in that condition on a regular basis. Fairly frequent binge drinking seems realistic to me for college age kids. The writing is a little cliched though, I would prefer to see more drunken hijinks like the last scene... I seem to remember a lot of that kind of thing going on. Yeah Silliness! (no more Torture or Death thank you) Oh yes, the homoerotic undertones are building. Where is that (Jackal) Taig?!? He is the one responsible for this you know... Shameless.

Yeah I know drunken binges are frequent with guys their age! I've seen plenty of them! lol, but I was mainly just referring to how they act in these states. It seems more like they are going, "Okay, drunk. I have to be drunk.... What do drunk people do? They hiccup! Oh yeah, and hug and kiss things too!" I think it probably comes down to the writing and acting. That last scene seems more realistic! hehe Also, after seeing Bree stuff the drunken Jonas into the boot, I think maybe we know how she was able to get him and tie him up now!

I think Yousef in particular plays a very authentic drunk.
