Daniel is channeling Old Bree almost verbatim in his first line. Then we hear the Old Bree suddenly back from a long vacation when she talks to us. It almost seems out of place now since they let that go for soooooo long and now suddenly it's back. Also this has been at least her second threat to do a PSW..

Watching that, the first 2/3's of that video seemed pointless. And then there was the cut to Bree in the room with Jonas and her big serious talk. I got all excited and thought something interesting or big was going to happen. Or at least for her to reveal she had a crush on him for a love-triangle thing. But at the end... this vid still seemed kinda pointless.
I may go back to not watching.
It would have been nice if she did a Proving Science Wrong though...

from the future lg title predictions thread: darn! getting closer, though. we're bound to get a match soon. first impressions: it was kind of funny for what it was. i must admit i keep getting jarred a bit by the back and forth between lighthearted videos and run-for-your-lives! episodes. it is true that the last part of this one dealt with a more serious subject, but i was still in a giddy phase from the foosball foolishness (and from the hope I HAD actually predicted this vid title in advance). Is there any hope that the fact that Bree is a "spinner" and untrainable in foosball rules is a metaphor for something else on the show? Thoughts? ---- throughts from the main board comments thread of note:Clio (send note) Says: March 22nd, 2007 at 1:01 am By the way, isn’t a little weird that Daniel is calling this a “whole new year” in March? [yes, it was weird. plus the reference to woman's right to play foosball needing to advance in 2007.]sarahboo (send note) Says: March 22nd, 2007 at 1:45 am omg omg omg that ending was sooo cute, now ive never seen bree and joonas together but they both ahd tears in there eyes and now i totally want them to get together!!!!
MUSICisMYboyfriend (send note) Says: March 22nd, 2007 at 4:08 am not another foosball filler!
pippi longstocking (send note) Says: March 22nd, 2007 at 4:16 am …i just saw the new video and it’s a little eh…whatever…and since when is bree embarassed to say anything serious to someones face? she has been serious plenty of times…but i think this time she didnt wanna be serious to jonas with him looking at her because she has developed a cruuush…
dinomyte (send note) Says: March 22nd, 2007 at 4:38 am The music in this video is great (IMHO). Great Classic Rock line up playin’ in the back ground at the bar. Eric Clapton - “I Shot the Sheriff Doobie Brothers - “Long Train Runnin” Led Zeppelin - “Dancing Days” Pink Floyd - “Money”
[wow, a classic rock guru catches the playlist. copyright issues?]

and from the forum:
ShardinsKitten 4:33am And I'm so happy Bree had her lil moment with Jonas and she really seemed to care for once. Much more likable and nice to see that again for another video, hopefully it stays. The ending was interesting... I wonder if they ever will find out the truth behind Jonas's parents I mean we don't know that Alex was telling the truth. I hope they find out, and I hope they find them. But this also makes me wonder about Bree's mom again. What's up with her? I hope they clear up all the parent stuff. This makes me excited to see where this goes, and hopeful that maybe the creators will start filling in the plot holes, and not make more plot holes.
ericski 6:52am maybe i'm just sentimental but i didn't get any "sexual chemistry" vibe out of this. the first part was the boys giving bree the business, which was fun.
the thing that struck me was how sincere bree was in her apology and how important it seemed to jonas. he hasn't had too much kindness in his life it seems (the main similarity between daniel and jonas imo). he seemed on the verge of tears. good video. good acting and good mix (if abrupt) of fun and serious. oh, i almost forgot the bit where daniel responds to some of the comments made about his exchange w/ alex about feminism with the tongue-in-cheek foosball "girls have rights" remark.
Beautiful Nightmare 7:16am They were totally in a Fuddruckers. The restaurant where they were playing foosball is a Fuddruckers
[Fuddruckers is a dangerous name for a restaurant.]

I thought the threat of a PSW into the serious bit was a cool transition.

You're being coy Milo, trying to get someone else to "bite" on that one... I predict Slainte won't be intimidated and will comment on it.

Thanks for these delicious Phorumbits, Milo. I think you need a new signature: I read the Phorum so you don't have to. FLWright PS I'm kidding, , I read the Phorum too.

OK, I'll bite in the spirit of mischievous monkey antics: (Warning! Fairly Offensive Slang Term)www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=spinnerI fully expect a finger wag from the esteemed gogo for this one... I assume that whoever named that title had NOT heard this particular bit of slang. Or have they!

I assume that whoever named that title had NOT heard this particular bit of slang. Or have they! Oh my goodness! I've never heard of that before! I am so naieve... Do you really think they intended for that innuendo? As for the episode, I'm a bit disappointed. It needed a bit more substance for me, and the contrast between fun foosball and serious D&M was to stark, I think we needed a bit more of a transition. And where was Daniel at the end?

Good Lord, I really doubt they intended this. I can't even really imagine... I interpreted right away spinner to be and only be what I and so many other amateur foosball players do when they first try, spin all the players furiously in faint hope of actually hitting the ball.

This was the worst video I've seen in a while. The whole foosball scene was boring; the dialogue between Jonas and Daniel was pointless. The only part I liked was when Bree was speaking to the camera - it seemed like a bit of her old personality was shining through. The second scene in the motel, I really expected Bree to say something different, and the 'serious' conversation was very anti-climatic for me. And now, thanks to CG, I'll never think of the word "spinner" in the same way.

I added a warning, too late I guess. Hopefully not too many were offended, probably every female on the planet I guess though...
