I am starting to really think this might be the creators giving us an example of what a response video should look like. Try to add some fluff to the story, but don’t say anything that boxes them into a corner. Be well lit, cute, funny, edited together nicely.
Of course this isn’t going to spur on anyone to make more quality response videos in the style of this one. It will just start nasty fights over whether this is canon or not, resulting in someone going to Jackie’s house and making a movie about asking her if it is canon or not.

Haha yes fights might start over this, but I think there's a pretty unassailiable position... umm if that makes sense. I mean a position on this which cannot be attacked. My motto from the beginning has been don't believe anything as fact until they give you proof. The fact that she's a friend of JR's, which while extremely telling, does not mean anything in the Breeniverse. We should only look for connections within the Breeniverse to validate things as canon (or the Creators saying so), beyond that we have to accept absolutely everything that pops up like this as non-canonical. I think that is a simple and easy way of going about things which is hard to argue with.
I'm watching it right now. The first 10 seconds "umm I don't know what to talk about today, soooo how bout more London" was really boring. I love British accents but something about her's grates me- perhaps because she is only faking it (whether she actually has an Australian, which could be, or American, whatever. Actually rewatching the first I hear what seems to be an American accent continuously breaking through, especially early on when she kept saying "like", that area her accent kept falling into an American one) "aloomnis"- do they really pronounce it that way in Britain/anywhere?
The story she retells about Mr. Hume actually disturbed me. She doesn't say anything about what Mr. Hume said except for the fact that he's an atheist. Presumably he was giving his opinions about atheism, philosophy of, etc. So Bree's mom stands up and says in response to his views: "whose business it was to right to thwart the right of an individual should be put down to sleep-- like a dog" Advocating murder of those who doesn't agree with her views? If this really is from the Creators, they just made Bree's mom out to be a royal b*tch. I mean what the heck. Meanwhile gemmers, who I assume is not on the best terms with the community as she had to leave for London to get away with it, seems enthralled by this story and agrees with the parents. That's mighty odd for a girl who hates even the sound of sirens because she doesn't like the thought anyone is hurt! So it's bad for people to be hurt, but if you disagree with her then it's fine for you to be exterminated?? The only reason the professor was silenced by Bree's mom is because I bet he was stunned at her idiocy. She would have been shouted down in any academic surrounding. The main problem this story leaves us with is that nothing about what Mr. Hume said. Perhaps if he declared "all religious people are wrong and evil!", then while Bree's mom's words would still be quite an overreaction, there'd at least be a bit of a reason for it. But shouting a guy down just for being an atheist and advocating his extermination and all of those like him? That was just out of line.
I know I just analyzed that far too deeply, however there was a lot about that video that really put me off. (No I'm not an atheist and all upset because she seems to insult atheists, if the tables were turned I'd be just as turned off by this gemmers.) I am starting to doubt this comes from the Creators, would they really have thought this episode out THAT poorly? It doesn't seem their style, but who knows.

True, it has been awhile since we were promised fan involvement in the storyline. Nothing's really come to fruition. Though one would think the Creators would have to have a hand in any fan thing, like approve it. They can't just have someone get canonized and suddenly have them go crazy like show up on camera dripping with blood claiming they just murdered Bree. That happening post-canonization would make em look real stupid. So while any fan canonization would have to have their every move and script approved by the creators, it'd be a nice thing for them to start. If Gemmers is the first example, well then it's way too blatantly fabricated, coming from one of JR's friends and all. Seeing as that's the case, for all we know Miles and Mesh are right there behind the camera telling her what to do. I don't consider that fan interaction at all. Her story was indeed weird in the way it traveled. She was like I like Thai food... oh and did I mention this very precise and deliberately told story? Yeah just thought I'd throw that in there for no real reason. Ok bye!

Well look at this. Just came across "I Lied to Daniel"'s newly upload to youtube- 36 minutes ago to be precise. I notice that gemmers 19 is ALREADY listed as a video response.
Looks like we have a coordinated effort going on here, I guess Gemmers is officially an inside job (as if we didn't already know that haha)

If I were that good looking I could do one of those vids too.. Just hang some posters on a wall on your room so no clue as to your whereabouts is given and talk about living in any city in the world as if you were there giving a few casual but unspecific details about pretended personal experiences.. Then add a somewhat fascinating but uncheckable episode that relates you in a fashionable way to Bree or Daniel and there you go!
But she is so cute I actually don't care.. ;D

Well I'll delete that post of mine because it was insensitive, however Terry I didn't even know that disorder existed let alone the consequences of it. Don't be too hard on me for ignorance.
(But are you just saying that in order to make me feel bad and to think about calling people not very attractive? Cause that seems like an awful random thing to just come up in a talk with a stranger in a myspace conversation. I know I wouldn't share such details with a stranger who messages me on myspace. After getting the answer I'll delete this one too since I've learned my lesson and such a thing shouldn't be said I guess either way. Though everyone certainly does have opinions on who and what they find attractive, kind of a rough thing to be so hard on me for having an opinion about something like that)

Hye, that was a total joke. You really should have googled the word camelopardalis, it is the latin word for Giraffe.

If others can say she's hot, then I can say No Way is she hot. I have no idea what the HyeMew post above is referencing BTW. I do not think Gemmers is cute at all!
I am really disappointed that it's Jess's friend IRL. That is not fan interaction at all.

I DID know that terry, you see I am an astronomy buff and Camelopardalis is a constellation. In fact I've always rather liked it so I very much knew the meaning. The thing is, I did google it and it IS a disorder of extremely long necked people. OK turns out I had seen something which was what I thought to be a muscular neck disorder but turns out it didn't quite say that haha. In my rush to verify that I think I saw what I feared and that was that. However as you can see I seriously doubted you actually talked to her on myspace about your respective medical disorders ;-)!

"That sounds like a real British accent to me."
It is more NZ than British. She has adopted British enunciation on a few words.

Yes definitely a poor British Accent. I come from London, so I can tell you that for sure. Sounds more New Zealand than Aussie to me.
I don't think this Gemma character is doing LG15 any favours. She speaks nonsense, confuses the plot, and is really irritating. Now they have intoduced that clipped editing for her and she was trying to imitate Jessica Rose by doing little nods and shakes of the head.
She gets completely negative comments in her replies apart from a few people who say she is "hot". But, being hot isn't going to make a good actress.
