What is up with that dead rose, huh? It can't be a reference to Jess, I hope. I am really tired of being critical of the series, but the way Gemma goes from giving advice to B&D to talking about her own little stories drives me crazy. Does dumpster-diving Bree really want to hear about the HORROR of Gemma's date?

Gemma said the story of her date might help Daniel and Bree figure out their situation. But can anyone figure out what she thinks the connection is?? Is her point simply that you can't trust people you don't know very well?

Nothing new under the sun.. If you are in a hurry dont worry and just keep going because this vid and nothing (like the last 2 or 3) is just the same. Jonas still dreaming about having Bree as special dessert after dinner.. ;D He now even offers Daniel a private Room door to door with Bree's.. Like "Ok.. If I got to bear with him I will.. Gee" Gemma still mad about Jonas pretending to take her the official position of true saviour of the sweet and sour pair.. Suddenly she is not under threat from the watchers anymore.. She now ungoes other kind of peril.. She dates sailors with a chick every other door.. I'm afraid the wheel of directing turns made a full lap and we are back into the hands of the boring one.. It looks like we just changed the motel for an abandoned warehouse.. Daniel reading mags on the bed by Daniel warwalking.. Bree having deep conversations with PM for Bree realising her stuffed adiction but unable to let go.. So.. Just pass by.. No need to stop here.. Nothing really interesting to watch.. If you want something really interesting to watch go see "You Broke Me" from Tara.. Tough one.. Bare with it till the end.. It will make you think.. Guaranteed! Cheers!

Hey, they're on a tight budget, and the dead roses are in ttheir price range.

So, first of all, gemma is practically OCD. Freaking out on her roommate for loading the dishwasher wrong. She wouldn't leave a dead rose in a vase. She'd want to toss it. Unless she's not quite herself. Maybe an evil twin or some sort of mind control? Kinda out there, I know... As for her story. Cute guy (jonas), 3 dates (pleas for them to stay?), has ability Gemma doesn't (Jonas has a place to stay, and money. which bree&daniel don't) Acting weird (jonas being all unkempt and pushy about them staying) There's someone else in his life (the order). maybe she's trying to tell them she knows someting about Jonas, but can't say it directly.
I'm sort of leaning toward Gemma having ill intent. She's getting pushy about them going home.
In A Series of Unfortunate Events, there's an organization, VFD, which had a split ages ago, and some people are now good and some evil, though they're sort of still the same organization. What if that's the case with the order? Everyone is being evasive and cryptic, because they don't want to give away what part of the order they are. It would explain why Jonas and Gemma are getting so insistant upon what breeniel does next. The whole future of the order hangs in the balance.
gah, I don't know. I hope that at some point we discover that the answers are in the videos, and we can go back through, find some subtle clues/info and then help Bree and whoever figure something out.

Is her point simply that you can't trust people you don't know very well? Yeah, I think that is what she means. She talks about her date being really "charming", and then goes on to say he turned into a douchebag. She is saying that Bree shouldn't trust Jonas cause people are not always who they seem at first. God, these series is getting SO TEDIOUS. And Jonas needs to wash his hair.

oh GOD i hate gemma. Okay, i finally realized something. I doubt it, but has anyone ever seen those nancy drew computer games where you have to solve mysteries? Well, I was OBSESSED with them. And that's basically what Gemma reminds me of. She kind of looks like a computer animated girl, talks like one, is pretty like one. And the way she said "Maybe that note from your parents has more to it, good luck!" I half expect Bree to open up the letter and like hold it up to the light and see something written in invisble ink. Eureka! So friggin cheesy. As for the rose.. I don't think it means anything only because it relates to the actresses name. It's not like.. Bree rose. And, How friggin unrealistic or narcissistic is it to see a video of your old friend homeless eating out of a dumpster and tell her about your god awful life where charming boys take you to see bands.
Seriously. Gemma is going to be my 7th stage.

Aw...nothing brings the cove together quite like a Gemma video. <snip>And, How friggin unrealistic or narcissistic is it to see a video of your old friend homeless eating out of a dumpster and tell her about your god awful life where charming boys take you to see bands. Seriously. Gemma is going to be my 7th stage. Vloggingly narcissistic, yes. I'm kinda getting used to it in that way. As she says, "Yes, I do have a life outside of this bedroom." Sometimes I feel like she's gloating though. Kinda like "I'm out of the order and doing fine! I'm living a normal life at Uni and eating biscuits and talking about wankers and bollocks and rubbish. It's not all good, but at least I'm not in the order...yay!" Is this whole thing is turning into a 2 party system? Jonas or Gemma? Well, I agree with Gemma. Do NOT follow Jonas into his Hallway of Solitude. Go home. They know where you are anyway. Gemma's sounding more and more like the voice of the people. "I feel like I've given you all the advice and information that I have and you're not listening." Soooo, she has a weakness for musicians, eh? "It kinda clouds my judgement sometimes.*wink*" I've suddenly become much more sympathetic to Gemma.

Lol it's almost hilarious how little regard she has for Bree. She gets all pissy that they didn't do exactly what she said (which in my opinion is almost as bad an idea as going to Jonas's), flies off the handle, and then suddenly starts looking for sympathy about how terrible her own date was (which actually sounded fine for awhile). At least she ends it on a happy note, but really her meanness in the beginning was uncalled for.

yo, and for the record..if it's the third date she has no right to be like, 'WHOS THAT" and he has every right to be all like, "hey chill out you crazy dishwasher-ocd bitch, I can have other girls kiss me on the CHEEK without you going possesive--I-think-you're-my-boyfriend-already on me... we are college kids in the 21st century."
Casual dating, not a relationship. Loosen up.
GGG. gemma's gotttttttttta go. At this point I'd rather Bree and Beast go straight to the mansion just to spite Gemma.

It hinders the series so much because the things she says and does and suggests are far, far away from what would ACTUALLY happen in a situation like this. If your friends are homeless and dumpster diving, would you really have the NERVE to complain about your oh so horrible date to them all the while they're eating from dumpsters and sleeping next to mice? NO. Anyone who would is heartless.
And GAHHHHH, that fake accent bothers me SO much!
I think Gemma is one seriously messed up OCD Schizo Bi polar person. She goes from angry, vicious, follow my directions or else bitch to pity me and my bad date in about 2 seconds flat. Evil Knievel can't make that leap!!
I can't help saying it again though... the Creators need to stop their whining about lack of money and let Gemma go. I doubt she's working for free. Save some money and tell her that "It just isn't working out." Then they can go blow their saved money on motel rooms for Bree&Daniel to sleep in whilst running from the Order and contemplating whether or not to trust the creepy guy who sends them vlogs, inviting them to his house in BFE when there are no other adults around.
It's starting to become a cliche, superficial scheme. The whole series is. It doesn't send the same vibe as it did before. Before it was for fun and promoting a new art form. The only vibe I get now is that the Creators are broke and they need money, from who else? The viewers. It's turned to money. Motives have changed. Moods have changed. The series is so bleak now. I've been watching for 4 months now. And what comes of it? Some fake British girl and a creepy pervert in the middle of nowhere, all the while Bree and Daniel are fighting on the streets and whatnot.
It just isn't FUN anymore.

hookedonmonics:
Some realy cool thoughts on your last post. I wonder if the writers are really that smart, but it would be a really cool twist - for what it's worth
Y'know after further observation some pretty funky things are going on in this clip...The rose moves noticeably, at one point it actually turns, lighting changes a lot in several scenes and there is something very wierd going on with the poster at her right .
Yes "hooked" htere is much more to this episode than one might think
See...now this is fun
