I'd like to reitterate what we established after the last few videos: that we want to keep a positive attitude toward the series and not take it too seriously or get upset. It's just a show after all. They don't have a big budget, and they aren't masters of the craft, so we should adjust our expectations. That said, I can't think of anything positive to say about this video. They're just stalling now. I wonder if the show made it across the shark, or if it's being eaten by it.

Well, I guess we are in for more culty antics.
Why would Mesh drop the name of the dog, Sasha? Probably a meaningless red herring, but who knows with the way the "plot" has unfolded (unraveled) so far...
This constant acceleration/deceleration is getting a little old. I say get on with it!

hmm. now bree's whole family is at risk? is gemmers so naive to think that family just left without their belongings, and then only communicated by canned letters? why didn't one of their letters say - hey, could you please mail us some of our most prized things? as for clues, anyone recognize the picture behind gemmers? looks like a stormy beach scene. if meant to be a clue, perhaps it signals stormy times ahead for bree. This is the way I want it to go. From what I gathered from Gemma's story, AFTER the ceremony the family "disappeared" aka left quickly and were never the same. Maybe because the daughter was forced to lose her virginity to some demon beast? Maybe it wasn't them writing the letters and the whole family was killed off? hmmm....

Well.. Either its me developing a link to their minds or the creators are becoming more and more predictible.
I think we all were expecting exactly this from the following Gemmer's video.. If you creators meant to scare us I'm afraid there is no one on this side of the screen who has been surprised by this video at all.
Things that come to mind:
- Based on past experiences.. When Daniel watches this video.. I mean.. Are you thinking the same I do? Will he get his camera again and get into trouble to save her precious little Bree?
- I was hoping they would not get back to the cult's mess again.. It was hard enough to have our heads open, some 10 episodes amputated from our memory and then let the wounds close.. And now you want to try it again? It dind't work the first time.. Please don't tell me we are up for another round! You got beaten pretty bad! You wanna die?
- The place where the video was recorded feel awfully familiar.. And the lamp.. I've seen that lamp before.. But where? Perhaps in one of Buka's photos?
- If we are to measure success based on the numbers of posts.. I'd say that the ship is sinking pretty fast.. Captain Mesh, are you there?

Since there was no logical reason for Gemma to mention the dogs name, I think this is an interesting theory. Or, perhaps Sascha was adopted by Gemmers, who later became Bree's best buddy in Nottinghamburgistan?

I think Sasha was adopted by Gemmers, which of course was Bree's buddy-dog and that's why she said the name of the dog.

The cult is the central conceit of the entire series. They can't abandon it and you were never supposed to pretend like the cult episodes didn't happen. They did. They're the main focus of the whole show. To be honest I think I knew it all the time.. Wishfull thinking I guess.. Ok, i'll take a deep breath and accept it as it is.. Maybe a little meditation will help.. OMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM... |
