. . . it's when the camera zooms in on the Pepsi that I really have a problem with it... I LOVE it when they zoom in on Pepsi! But generally, you won't see them zoom in on a product on television shows. Yes, in sports like NASCAR, etc because the brand generally has paid exorbitant fees for that event (Super Bowl) or sponsorship (NFL). And for the record, product placement only works if the products used match the story and characters. You would not put a Rolex on the wrist of a starving artist. If done correctly, people will notice the brand without it detracting from the story. But you can only do this with large, highly recognizable brands - for consumer products - and get much payback.
