Oh no. I'm sick of the word 'run.' It really bugs me that Taylor just so happens.... to know everything. I really don't want a repeat plot, but that is just what is happening so far.

Becki's acting has actually gotten worse over the course of the series. She started out ok, but by now I cannot be convinced by her. She can't make a believable "smart" character, her delivery of the Degas info, and the whole "I just love to learn" stuff was lifeless. She's better when she's complaining about Sarah, but even then all her lines sound the same.
ETA: Who knew we'd "find out" that Emma is the new girl this quickly? Again kudos to Hye for calling it the second she appeared on screen.

I don't know, I kind of feel weird critiquing the actors sometimes. But I agree, her delivery was poor. Her acting wasn't that great but I think the script is partly to blame. I mean, her just so happening to know all about Degas? Maybe it could have been convincing if Bree knew about this, as Bree was introduced to us as a super smart girl who has been studying and reading since she was like eighteen months old, but with Taylor it just doesn't work. As far as we know, Taylor is from this broken home where she has been encouraged to be a sports star. And poor old Sarah hasn't been encouraged to be anything. There is really no reason for why her knowledge would be so extensive in all these general areas. They haven't set her character up well enough for us to believe this. It's not credible on a number of levels. They just tell us instead of show us. That is, we get lines like, "I love learning!" and, "Taylor is uber-smart and hacked into the system," instead of us seeing Taylor study or talk much about her interests. |

Is it the actor or the script? Telling intimate details about a painter while standing outside trying to have the camera microphone hear you is not easy. She could have done all of that in her bedroom while showing a degas print she purchased from a five and dime.
Why does Taylor insist that Daniel "run"? Where is the urgency? Because someone uploaded a photo online? Shiver me timbers! As I have noted over the past three weeks, on every Friday there needs to be some miniature crisis on this show.
So, my grandson came to visit yesterday and I told him a bit about how I am watching videos on youtube including the Lonelygirl15. He chuckled and said to me: "Whatever happened to that Girl Cassie?" I said I did not know but I am trying to find out.

haha. Jack, we ALL are trying to find out what happened to Cassie.
I suppose now we'll never know, right? I still don't understand why they'd make a point of really mentioning Cassie and did nothing with her. le sigh.

It was elementary really, my dear Oweniscool. You see, I figured well they need a 'new girl', or new Bree... and clearly if they're going to have a new Bree it's going to be someone I hate, and the last one Jules was downright awful... so all I had to do was keep an eye out for the next downright awful character I found!
