That much I believe. But then...he gets home, edits the video, and posts it on YouTube? Eh...for whose benefit? This is like watching a ER with my husband. He's a surgical tech which means that he is up to his elbows, sometimes literally, in blood and guts and obviously knows what *really* happens in an operating room THUS he hits pause on the TiVo button every two minutes to explain to me, in detail, about the mistakes they are making. To which I reply "It's make-believe". I think I have to side with Smashing on this one. Good dramatic fiction asks you to suspend disbelief as infrequently as possible. And even in something like X-Men, the characters still have coherent motivations for their actions. The premise of this show is that these are real, if quirky, teenagers. And, yes, it's fiction. But when their behavior is inconsistent with their characters, then it's bad fiction. Edit: But I got mad respect for that crazy picture of la mamacita de Bailey, so you get exalted anyways... |

I think Daniel's motivation is to find out what is going on by confronting Bree with these videos. Since she isn't allowed to see him, and Lucy is obviously blocking any other interaction, the videos are all he has as a means of communication. It's also his only means of presenting evidence to us and Bree that there is something unusual going on with Lucy and possibly with this ceremony and the order.

he needs to do some better stalking because showing her hanging out with an older woman (maybe practicing yoga?) and walking into an office (maybe applying for a job?) doesn't really show too much is unusual. maybe his next video could actually have audio of them talking. that...would be pretty awesome.
cuz you know he isn't going to stop just because bree told him to.
