Hi All,

I'm not sure what the Secret Service stuff is all about, and they were all ruining the night sky with those darn flashlights!

In the FWIW Department, Topanga State Park had clear skies for a couple of hours after sunset, so at least there's some continuity in this video tale.

The rare Socali Clouds appeared at midnight, and Anchor Cove is expecting at lot of Wait today. I thought it never rained in Southern California, strange happenings!!!

At first I also thought that they had gotten Daniel, but then I realized he had gotten home to post the video. So he is safe!
It is way to dark of a video.

I'm going to come on here and defend the video.

1) It was obviously a deliberate homage to Blair Witch.
2) The ceremony had not yet started when Daniel got spooked off.
3) They gave Yousef a camera and had him take video of people milling around in the dark at night. Did you want the ceremony flood-lit so he could get good camera shots. Would it have been plausible if he went back to his home and edited the video a bunch and added a mysterious soundtrack?
4) Consider if you're a victim of setting unreasonably high expectations.
5) For me, it all depends on what happens next. If Bree posts a video blog tomorrow saying, "Daniel, that was mean." I'd say this video was a failure. If Bree disappears, I'd say this video was a success.

I have never run through the woods in the dark to stalk my true love so I have one question.
Towards the end of the video he looks into the camera and is talking to it. There is a light from his right (our left) that is shining on his face. What is the light source? Is it a flashlight he brought and was holding at arm's length? Why wouldnt he just use a video camera with a light?

A poster to the video on lonelygirl15.com said her problem with the video was that it was too unrealistic for Daniel not to rescue Bree from the ceremony and not to tape more of it.

This is actually a stumbling point for any fiction that makes its style "reality" but makes its subject matter something unusual. As most of us have never been in love with a young occultist about to go through a ceremony of which she knows nothing, we have a lot of trouble gauging realistic behavior in this situation.

The only way to make sure that "reality" fiction is broadly accepted, is to make it mundane. But then nobody is interested. It's a fine line to walk, and I think Miles et al have done a better job than many, but nowhere near as good as possible.

Wow after seen that cap of the other camera I wonder how they will use it? I mean will Bree have the footage and show us. Like hi guys I asked one of the people there to film it so I could show every body this super secret ceremony on my super secret you tube account. Unless this really is like a bar mitzvah then yea it would be filmed, but something tells me it's not. I still think the Bree goes missing is to dark for the majority of the LG15 fans. My guess is this new video that we saw in the screen cap will be given to Daniel by a stranger it will just show up like in his car or something. exposing Bree's religion.

Thanks for the props, but to be fair, I had the first four and saw someone make reference to mr. camera man on the "other" board...thus the edit. I should have referenced that person...edit: Way2curious...apologies.
Ya really gotta tweak that brightness. Quicktime wouldn't let me change the brightness, until I exported it from the vlc player. Then the brightness option was available in quicktime.

I feel like it was pretty realistic. It gets pretty freaky out in the woods at night, plus Daniel thinks he's dealing with some satanic blood cult. A follow up video should give us a clearer vision of what happened after he was busted. Plus, he has to have seen more than we could see on the video.

Anybody make out the background voices? D (of course) is talking straight through it so it's hard to make out.

Wow, thanks Lizzy, that was really helpful! You can make out the people in the shadows a lot better -- more people than I realized when I watched it at first. Almost looks more like a search party.

Brucker on the LGPedia (does Brucker post on the phorum too?) noted that at 0:13 the image is flipped for whatever reason.

At the end of this vid are the noises we hear of Daniel getting into his car?
