Great point CG. Before the reasons for Bree to upload videos were implausible, but they didn’t hurt her, so why not. Now that she is aware that the Order is watching all her videos, or at the very least could watch her videos if they choose, so all of her videos are essentially a dialog with the Order. I think that is going to be the death of the show. No longer do we have a story from two (three if you wanna separate OA from Tach) perspectives, but we just have a bunch of people talking to each other. All actions will have to be shown well after they occurred out of fear of ‘tipping your hand’ to their rivals.

Terry, I really enjoyed your recaps. I thought you did a great job on those. I was going to encourage you to keep them up, but if the show is going to break down with no end in sight, I can't blame you for quitting. Maybe if they end the series one day in a satisfactory manner, it'll be worth going back and making recaps of the other videos.

Honestly, I think you just want the Creators to fail. Regardless of what they do, you will have some complaint. In your minds there is no way that they can win or even take things in a direct you approve of.

If you don't see the logical issues involved then I won't waste much time responding, will all due respect. These logical issues COULD have been addressed with clever writing, they just were not.

I was actually kind of enjoying the Op vids, at least Tachy (they are the best IMNSHO) is still a "secret" out there.

No amount of phanwanking can overcome these logic flaws at this point. End of story.

Are you saying we should be more consistent in our opinions? Funny, because that's all we are asking of the story is consistency. And you're obviously trying to piss people off with that name-calling post, so relax. Nobody wants the creators to fail, we just call it as we see it.

We do complain about everything, that much I admit. But, there is nothing contradictory about this set of complaints. The problem before was that the creators set up no way for us to know who could see whose videos. Apparently, Op could see bree and beast's, but did b&D know that? could they see Op&Tach? There were very few ways for those questions to be answered without causing problems with the plot. Now, with Oppy being mainpaged, we know bree can see her videos and vice versa (whether they could all along, or whether Op became visible to bree when she went all mainpage is unclear) Now, as terry said, it would be incredibly stupid for bree to post ANYTHING until complete resolution has been reached. Otherwise the order could use it against her.
Truly, they are trying something different, and have to make up some of their own rules, but those rules have to make sense. It doesn't make sense for an intelligent girl to post all of her secrets on a medium that she knows is viewable by her enemy.

I think this was the best move in a long time. I would pop on the forum constantly and question whether or not we had to watch Op or not. It was seeming like more and more we were supposed to be watching all these channels. I actually suggested that they just throw the idea of different people posting and even post the main Op ones on the front page.

I'm glad they did because now I only have to go to the LG page. My youtube subscribed list is getting too high anyway

As far as the things Daniel was saying - I'd like to see a transcript - some of it was hard to follow. But I second Alissa, it was sexy!

what I was trying to say is that if Bree doesn't address this in the next week or so, then it's an inconsistency, but obviously the creators wouldn't mainpage OpAphid without acknowledging them as on the characters' radars.

Daniel acknowledged the cameras in his room before, and various Tachyon stuff. So this seems like an official adoption of the already assumed logic.

Thanks for returning to a more civil tone Skiba. I don't see the logic flaw in them acknowledging the OpA vids, it's the fact that they can never vlog about their plans without first spilling the beans. This seems to be a HUGE problem for Bree and Joan and I don't see why they would ever post another vid at all.

As Terry said above, it's going to be the logical equivalent of a video conversation between the two entities. Now if it goes that way, hmmm, that might be interesting but kinda limiting.... I guess we will have to wait and see.

I never really had a problem with LG not having mentioned OA. My issues with it had more to deal with it being the antithesis to the mock vlog style of LG. I felt and still do feel that it drags LG away from everything that makes it unique and interesting. Also having been in charge of the phorum back when CiW was running wild, I have never cared much for the fans of these ARGs. They just aren’t the kind of kids I would want to eat lunch with. I have also had some issues with OA ever since they bragged about ‘hacking’ CiW’s phone service. It was kind of funny, but at the same time it was a felony and sort of a jerk thing to do to the CiW fans. I’m sure OA fans wouldn’t enjoy someone breaking the law to mess up OA.

I have never been against them having more perspectives. I have stated repeatedly that they should do this more so. A Bree video shouldn’t look and feel like a Daniel video and a Jonas video should be different as well. The personalities of the characters should be apparent by how the video is put together. There shouldn’t be the question of whose video is this because it should be apparent from the style. The in character aspects of the show are one of the things that held a lot of potential. At the same time I have agreed that an out-character site is important for making things clear. I hate the idea that they are going to disregard all of the in-character aspects to focus more on the out-character stuff. Essentially they are abandoning all of the tools this medium provides them with and have turned LG into a generic show that just happens to be released on the internet. I can’t fathom why they would not do duel releases so one could follow the show either in-character or out-of-character depending on how involved they wanted to be.

Do I want the producers to fail? Do I want them to succeed? Honestly, I don’t really care either way. I have nothing really at stake here. If they stopped making episodes I would probably forget about the show in a couples weeks just as many before me have. What I do care about is this medium and genre. I think there is a lot of potential here and think that in the future people might do amazing things with it. But my fear is that since LG has the most spotlight it it will set a bad precedent for how people should make shows and they will destroy the genre before it ever really gets going.

As to my recaps. I am a little sad to stop making them. They were a fun project, and it was a neat experiment to try to compress an already pretty compressed story. But I never really felt like I could get them to the audience I was aiming at – brand new fans. I e-mailed Miles and Mesh about trying to set up some sort of link on the front page labeled ‘first time viewers’ that would explain the show and might use my recaps to help get them up to speed. I also made a public request for them to post the videos with the music track removed so I could have better access to the dialog and would be able to produce better recaps. Both of these requests were ignored.

So they clearly had no interesting in helping me. I can’t blame them, I have been pretty negative about them and their show but I figured that wouldn’t stop them from helping me make better recaps which in the end would just help with viewership for their own series. Since I am giving up on the show I figure I will just stop the recaps here instead of dragging them on until I get to this episode and randomly end here.

I guess i must be smoking something tonight, because i enjoyed this video. Daniel has been captured and brainwashed! Something (very thinkable) happened! I've yet to figure out the ramifications of the reality problems created by this video, but its not like we haven't had to deal with that before.

One reason Bree has to post vlogs now if because its her only way to maintain some kind of contact with Daniel.

And CASSIE IS BACK! I see the lgpedia transcript says cassie would have wanted bree to do the ceremony, but i heard it as cassie wants bree to do the ceremony - i.e., does "miss me?" also refer to cassie?

I guess I was kinda turned off by ZombieHipHopDaniel's delivery Milo. Not hawt from my viewpoint, I am waiting for John Big Bootie to weigh in on his rather unique perspective on "hawt".

As for Cassie, yeah that was a big one. But why did DB not remember her (or is he just lying now) before, or was he ALWAYS (yikes) in league with the Order? Was he previously brainwashed. Is this the REAL "Beast"? Sigh, more logic issues. I know I am a PiTA about this topic, it's just so distracting to the story for me...

And that post by the Creators at the phorum... it mentions itscassie among others. I don't think this cannonizes any of those... does it? It's a little confusing to me I guess.

Interesting video. Daniel was certainly experiencing some chemically and food induced happiness there. Only pizza, ice cream and a whole lot of drugs would make him want to join the Order. Then again, load ME with pizza, ice cream and lots of drugs and I might want to join too.
