0097 Gemma, Who Are You?www.lonelygirl15.com/?p=133one.revver.com/watch/119930SummaryI just saw Jonas's video... and I'm speechless. --- Nice, Daniel may go back to Bree's house to see what it up. He can actually help find Bree's parents while Jonas perfects his baking skills!

Something will likely keep him from doing so unless they back filmed a lot of stuff because of the vacation.

Something will likely keep him from doing so unless they back filmed a lot of stuff because of the vacation. According to one of the better phorum posters, both Bree's and Daniel's homes have cameras installed in them and are being monitored by OpAphid. It appears to me that NOT watching/following the ARG "stuff" is making it very difficult to follow the MAIN plot...I still don't have a handle on who (in the Breeniverse) is able to watch what video posts. It is pretty confusing and I don't think there has been a definitive explanation of this either. Anyway, here is a link to the summary of OpAphid/Tachyon clues. The only post that contains relevant info is the first one and he has promised to keep it updated: www.lonelygirl15.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3927&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

Thanks, CG. The tachyon/opaphid interaction with the main storyline is a real problem now, i think. it makes only the most dedicated viewers understand what is going on, and they need to build a larger audience, including casual watchers, to make this self-sustaining.

The folks on YT who are probably unaware of all of the "stuff" going on may start tuning out if it really Stops Making Sense without the benefit of the game elements. Perhaps the strategy is to drive more viewers from YT to the mothership site. I assume all the "stuff" videos are also on YT, but a casual viewer would probably have a really hard time making connections. This whole line of presentation certainly encourages phorum participation to really stay abreast.
Meh.
Hard to tell in the wacky world of LGness, as far as I can tell any attempt at a logical thought progression with all of this is challenging to say the least. I guess we are back at the whole "interaction" thing again, but I am still a little unclear about how fan generated all the "stuff" is vs. heavily influenced/controlled by the writers.
The whole "who sees what" thing is beyond my, admittedly primal, monkey reasoning power. I really wish there was a way for them to clear all this up. Perhaps this will be forthcoming...
Back OT: DB is "sorry" that he left her now. That made my heart hurt for our hero, despite the rather bizarre situation the writers have put him in as a result of Y's London trip.

It does seem more and more that OpAphid is telling the story and LG is just trying to play catch up. Which I think is a poor move for two reasons:
First the obvious fact that they are making it harder for people to follow the show, and this is not going to help their already declining viewership.
Second they are really making the Breeniverse much shallower than it needs to be. The Order presumable is pretty big and must have other things to do besides follow around Bree. I think if OpAphid is a spin off then it should actually spin off in a different direction (it would sort of be like setting Frasier in Boston, in a bar). Tell a different story about what else The Order is up to. Having parallel storylines would make the entire story richer while still allowing people to only watch the parts of it they like. If OpAphid continues to tell the same story as LG, but it is not required watching, well then one of them is going to have to become pretty redundant.

The WatchingOpAphid account on YouTube has provided some very clear and nice summaries of what OA has done so far -- highly recommended.
I can't get there to link at the moment; if anyone else could put a link up, I would appreciate that.

They told us that fans would have no need to know the OpAphid story line to follow LG15, but it's definitely more and more required watching (which I refuse to do becaue I've been too busy lately and never did before so don't really want to now). The worst offense was throwing the clip from Tachyon into the Jonas video. How would anyone know where he got it from if they hadn't watched hers (which luckily I did)? I would have been just left totally confused otherwise, it was something out of nowhere never addressed in LG15, instead LG15 was commenting on something in an OpAphid-related video, NOT good.
But we know the Creators aren't the most sophisticated story scripters in LG15... perhaps while they had not planned for OpAphid to cross-over so much, they've kinda dropped the ball on that. Terry had good ideas about keeping it a seperate spin-off, however I don't think the Creators, based on their LG15 work, are sophisticated enough to craft that well enough (not offending them here, just saying based on what I've seen before I don't think they'd end up working that well and based on what I've seen I am not surprised they're slipping like this into more OpAphid-heavy content when they said they wouldn't).

I wish that the Gemma being a Traitor thing was a quick way to get her off the show. I don't consider myself that lucky though.
I tried watching some of this OpAphid, Watching OpAphid and Tachyon stuff but it's confusing... is it all from the Creators of LG15 or are they just incorporating it into their stuff and it's fan works? Well, I'm pretty sure the WatchingOpAphid thing is fan, but the other two just confuse me.
I still wish it was some sort of thing to boot our dear little fake British girl.
Edit: Read that summary post and it's still a confusing load of whatever.
