Summary:The other night was incredible! I can't even compare it to anything...at least not anything I've experienced before. Jonas and I are really happy to have Daniel back, and we also had a few guests stay with us this past weekend. Tags:LG15 lonelygirl15 daniel danielbeast jonastko jonas tachyon 10033 friends order opaphid plan ransom motivation YT Link:www.youtube.com/watch?v=vW6ZpqXjCE4I thought this was the best segue yet back to the vlog format. WTF issues aside , they may be hitting their stride with the bouncing back and forth between delivery mechanisms. Much less awkward than previous examples. Bree is honing in on her career choice!

I wonder what this will do for Tachyon subscriber levels? Currently it's 4658.
This video sure had the hallmarks of a "wrapping up" of sorts, like how things end. This is obviously not ending though, and it's not like the Order has been defeated, they're still out there. I can only hope though that with Tachyon and Brother going back home, things can get a bit back to normal but with the Order out there still I doubt it. I don't like not having any idea where this will go next. I'm just so sick of the OpAphid/Order stuff I just want it to get back to the coming of age story, but at the same time I basically know such hopes are futile.
I think next up is an episode from Daniel detailing his feelings for Bree post-rescue.

Bree is honing in on her career choice! Not only that, but the context makes it sound like she wants to do a job related to the rescue they pulled off. So she wants to be like Tachyon? Or maybe less specifically some sort of spy or special law enforcement agent? Unless I am reading this totally wrong (and it wouldn't be the first time), I believe we are witnessing something big. The birth of the next phase of LG, where she becomes something of an action hero. The comparisons to Buffy the Vampire Slayer might not have been far off. I for one, am very encouraged by that because it means the show will have structure and the character motivations will be clearer. She'll have to find out more about the Order to fight it, and so we'll get the answers to the questions of what the heck the Order is and why they're so bad. They've already established that there are girls like Bree all over the world, so in future stories she could travel around saving these other girls. She wouldn't have to, but the point is there would always be more for her to do. Another adventure each week. It sets up the story as one that could be more easily translated to a TV series, movie, or as I like to suggest comic books. It could be these last few months were the origin story of a superhero. But historically the show has had more in common with a daytime soap opera than a comic book. So what will it be? Wonderwoman or Days of Our Lives? eta: As far as I'm concerned, they can do both as long as they make it entertaining, i.e. don't leave us confused or in suspense for too long.

I think there was a very telling but in Bree's monologue. "Sometimes you are so afraid of doing the wrong thiing that you don't do anything at all". Iti svery easy for me to think that is what the authors have been going through. I can see these guys getting stumped at some point and thinking "WTF do we do now!!! ". I think they made a decision. There are plenty of references here at the Cove about how they had written themselves into a corner. Tada! The real writer appears and things seem to get tidied up a little. CG and Smashing have made some very good observations. Bree is homing in on what she wants to do when she grows up and Hye is right about "wrapping things up" - at least a little bit. I have the distinct feeling that we are heading directly toward "Young girl finding her way while battling the forces of evil" - Like I said once before: "There are only about 5 original scripts in Hollywood. All the rest are just variations" With this nominal victory over the Order they are back together again and fairly settled in at Joan Manor. Their characters are all well-defined. Bree and her boys fighting evil wherever they find it all with the help of unseen aid from Tachyon and Brother. This might be a good place for many of us skeptics to bail out. There is at least some closure. The future is dim for those of us interested in what Bree could have shared with us about growing up as a "Lonely Girl". It is pretty clear that the phorum/You Tube/Commenters/ demo is the hands-down winner.

Unless I am reading this totally wrong (and it wouldn't be the first time), I believe we are witnessing something big. The birth of the next phase of LG, where she becomes something of an action hero. The comparisons to Buffy the Vampire Slayer might not have been far off. I for one, am very encouraged by that because it means the show will have structure and the character motivations will be clearer. me too. i definitely agree that we have witnessed a new (the first?) committed direction for the series. when this all started, it didn't have to have a direction - real vlogs are personal, often rambling, and don't have discrete story arcs. real vlogs, frankly, appeal to a small audience. we were drawn in by bree herself, but a nothing-happens plot couldn't have kept an audience for long. Plot is what drove the growth of lg15 viewership, not proving science wrong videos. - on july 4, "My Parents Suck" was the 1st hint of a story arc, and the 1st very successful lg15 video.
- on august 6, "What did dad and daniel talk" about revealed crowley and gave real meat to the mystery of bree's religion.
- on august 31, "Bree the Cookie Monster" laid the 1st hint about the upcoming ceremony (and made clear with "A Change In My Life" on sept 3)
- and so from there, even though there were serious gaps in the action.
while there have been individual videos (like My First Kiss) that are beloved, the series has always been searching for its true plot. a lot of the growing pains we have seen may be due to the fact that this was initially envisioned a 6 month series, and transforming that to a long-running drama with a plot to support it took time. Wow. Excellent observation Slainte. I love how the creators put these hidden meanings in their videos. I think next up is an episode from Daniel detailing his feelings for Bree post-rescue. Good prediction. I think to make this a long running series, unrequited feelings between Bree and Daniel will be kept up for a long time. all in all, i'm hopeful after this video. there were some awkward points, but it felt like smoothing out some wrinkles to get ready for the next stage.

It does feel like that this was the completion of the first book of Bree. Perhaps it is just the end of the prologue. Either way I love that now both OpAphid and Tachyon have a decent in-video introduction, that will make my life recapping the series much more feasible.
Next video – montage of Bree training set to the tune of Eye of the Tiger.
Edit: Totally off topic, but just happening to finish my most recent recap and then being able to make it the first and only video response so far to it this vid on YouTube has done wonders for my recap subscriptions and from some of the messages I am getting they are finally reaching the audience I designed them for. I can't believe I am only 2 recaps away from the introduction of Jonas.
