Jess is a good actress.
But more to the point, they're not abandoning at all the notion that these characters exist in and respond to their internet world. There was a lot of concern that it was unrealistic for Daniel to keep making these videos and Bree to ignore them. But she's clearly not ignoring them -- she's mad at him.
Now, hopefully we get some sort of explanation from Daniel on why he continues to behave this way.

hmmmm, thats an interesting point. she has seen daniel's vid obviously. but she didnt comment about her helper waiting outside 2 hours as pointed out in daniels video. quite bizare. i like this new vid, cant wait to see what happens at the ceremony. its only 8 days now. maybe daniel will come crashing in on the ceremony with his video camera and declare his love for bree......

I expected some kind of ultimatum like "quit following me or we aren't friends anymore," or for her to just tell him they aren't friends anymore. I guess I'd like to hear more from Daniel about WHY he is following her around. Has he said if he is worried about her or just curious?

Do you know what the Creators should've done? They should have had Daniel show up on one of the forums and say, "Hey guys, I'm really worried about Bree. Helper, Lucy, blah blah blah. I don't want her to be mad that I'm following, but I want you guys to see what's going on, so maybe I can figure out a way to help her..." or something along those lines.
It would take a little creativity on their part, but it would be a way to re-engage Lonelygirl fans, and keep the storyline a little more plausible. Or, couldn't Daniel simply defriend Bree on YouTube, and make his videos only available to friends? You'd lose some people, mostly lunatics, but it'd drive up Danielbeast's subscribers, and they could make it all public down the road.
Or, why don't they just have Bree's dad take her computer away for some reason. Then Daniel could post whatever without it being a big plot hole.

They could still have Daniel explain it later. If the Creators (they should have just called themselves "The Gods" ha ha.) If the Creators really do read this board, then maybe they can use some of the good ideas from jayhenry. |

when was the last time the creators took something from the boards tho?
yes they have more vids out now than before...coming like once a day, but it doesnt seem like either daniel or bree are responding to viewers like they used to, now its just between them it seems

I agree, Harlequin. While the video responses on the site are an interesting touch, I miss the days when Daniel and Bree would bicker in their YouTube comments. Other than naming Thor, the characters exist largely independently of the community that they're so keen to talk about
But naming a Teddy Bear is hardly something that only an Internet Miniseries could bring us. I'm quite sure TV shows have run "name that character" promotions in the off-season.

I'm glad I'm not twjaniak's psychologist is all I can say. But, that was a well done video. Bree has a biased view of the world. She needs to see that there is a bigger picture to see. I hope I can share that with her. Thanks for your kind comments. |
