Wow, they've completely abandoned their YouTube audience. The clip on YouTube is only a teaser for their Web site. It will be interesting to see how this goes over.

First of all, it's cool to know a little more about her parents. Assuming they both completed their degrees, the dad's a doctor and the mom has a PhD--so she's probably in some kind of academic profession. Here's the guy she did her dissertation on: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johann_WeyerFrom the sound of things, it doesn't seem like both her parents were involved in Thelema from the beginning. The discussion about the play really potrayed her mom as having more of a Thelemic outlook, and it makes me think that maybe her dad converted after they fell in love.

Wow ... I am amazed right now. We had the Letter from the Creators blunder, which was a little heavy handed, if probably just an emergency thing. But the YT move they had plenty of time, and I think it's just crass.
I was wondering how they would be handling this, but this way they are just inflaming the part of the audience that is over at YT. They could have dropped reasons for YT viewers to slowly adopt, like 'find out more here', or 'visit the fanclub' or maybe even start a little web game where you have to go to their site to look for something. This way, they could have gauged conversion, the time lag didn't work, I guess, because too few people were aware of the official site. But effectively saying: ''YT movie quality sucks, come over here', is a little harsh.
Why such a sudden move? I mean the move was kinda inevitable, but this way? I am really suprised.
Most of all, because Flash 8 doesn't even work for a lot of people, and it's not easy to see how to get the QT version. With all the nicety of their API, Revver is horrible at usability and interface design.
On the episode itself, nice background, is it just me, or does it seem a little breathless and hurried? Bree doesn't give an open reason why she is going a mile a minute, but for this kind of story it really seems a little too fast.

If they're smart (big IF, I know, when it comes to their Web presence. Good filmmakers, awful internet skills...) they'll eventually switch to the full video on YouTube as well.
The thing that's bizarre about this is their strategy was working. More people were starting to watch the videos on lonelygirl15.com ever since they started including the address in the video titles. And lonelygirl15.com was becoming a better looking site.
If they do switch over to only YouTube teasers I have two thoughts:
1) Revver might have offered them some money to switch over completely. 2) I guess the mystery of the Tags wasn't actually going anywhere. Thanks for wasting my time.

As another Linux user, I would definitely appreciate it if they stuck with youtube...

I had not really stopped to think about it - but I have not even been to YouTube for a week. I wait for someone here to tell me it's up and I go to Revver. Hmmm. Methinks their strategy might be working. But I still don't click on the ads - so they are not getting paid, right? So, maybe biting the (YT) hand that feeds them?

hmmmm. interesting. I'm not too good on the mechanics of it all - but for my money, revver sucks.

well, i thought that was marginally interesting. a little too cutesy....
however, they seem to be keeping with the big shapeless top theme now that she is "back in the game" with her preparations.

Jess looked kind of hungover, but she did a nice job portraying Bree as happy and excited again.
