On they cynicism front, I did find that nonsense about DoS attacks absurd and I'm sorry that you had to be the one to disseminate that BS. Rubbish. The tech was a failure of inexcusable proportions, just like it always is. Actually, the programmer has proof of the DoS attacks. He was finally able to block it Friday evening, and that's when the site became available again. They've been getting pretty relentless IP attacks over the past few days, which resulted in the sluggishness of the forum. I mean come on, with Miles's medical background I think he'd know that a heart monitor wouldn't go from pacing normally to just flatlining out of nowhere. It was so odd it made us assume they had merely unplugged her monitor (which maybe in reality they did) instead of actually killing her and fueling the notion she wasn't really dead, just appeared it. I agree that the death itself could have been handled better. I would have liked to have seen something more realistic, something a little more clear. I would have liked one more chance for her to talk to the guys, even if it resulted in a corny death scene. But such was not to be...

I don't see Miles's post as anything other than a sincere expression of how he's feeling and a desire to communicate it. I see no ulterior motives behind his post and the cynicism in this thread, for once, doesn't seem warranted at all. I agree with Jay... The Cove has always been a rather cynical bunch. Of course, it's possible Bree was killed because it's better press. But it's also more final for the fans (and eliminates all the "bring Bree back now or I'll stop watching" posts that would surely come) and allows the story to move on without her. I don't think Miles is intending this as a slight on Mesh or Greg. Rather, he's speaking for his role in it. He wasn't there with the cast and crew during the finale in California. He's been heavily involved with KM, and I suspect he's missed lonelygirl15. He's expressing his feelings about what happened in the story and also encouraging fans with the story yet to come. It is a story, after all. Perhaps they've planned Bree's death for a long time. Perhaps it's vital to the rest of the story. I hope most of the fans will wait and see...

Hmm...I'm not a lawyer either (but Greg is, and he said I was smarter than him!), but I would think that since your video remains hosted on YouTube and LG15 only draws your YT video to show on the main page, you wouldn't be giving them rights to it. After all, they're not hosting your work or distributing it... Just my impression.

They're installing new firewalls on all the servers right now, hence the downtime. (Again, I wish I had notice to warn folks)

I also agree 100% that BK wasn't knowingly lying to anyone. He has spun things and presented them in perhaps an overly positive light sometimes, but I have never known him to be purposefully deceitful. Contrasting the amount of work he (and the other moderators) puts in with the very health flow of money the c's are now receiving, I wonder if their volunteer positions will become paid ones in the future. At least I hope they all got a free t-shirt. Thank you, good sir. True, much of the time I'm passing along what they tell me, but I don't think I'm being misled. Maybe I'm not being told everything, but I've been communicating with the programmer and not hearing the technical details straight from the C's, so I absolutely believe it. I totally want a t-shirt! And a signed cast photo! And maybe a cameo on Greek!

BrokenKid posted that the website people claimed LG15.com was the victim of a Denial of Service attack but I have a hard time believing that. Turns out your instincts were correct. As soon as they switched the vids from myspace to the YouTube links, LG15.com returned to normal. I'm certain BK was merely passing along the info he received. I'm pretty sure that it's the other way around. The programmer wasn't able to change the links to YouTube until the site was actually finally responding.

lg15.com is down at the moment (per bebo comments, looks like its been down around an hour so far). Shouldn't be much longer than an hour. They're installing something that's taking a big server draw, for some reason. The web guy said if it doesn't free up the server, he'll stop the process, which should free things up.

So a few things that might help with the forum (and don't ask me any of the particulars about the design or the switch from Revver, because I have no idea): - If you're logged into the forums and it says you are not logged in at the main page, go to the forum and logout. Then logging in should log you in everywhere. - Clear your cookies! They're finding bugs and playing with the cookies to get it right, so you might want to do this often while they work things out. - Go to the bottom of the forum and click "Delete all board cookies". Some people who weren't able to post on the main page were able to after doing this, even if they cleared cookies in their browser. I'm not sure what will happen with old video responses. However, it does sound like there are a lot of new fan video improvements still in the works. (I know I know, we've been told that for ages, but in talking to the web guy, he's got some really cool ideas - all custom stuff.) Not sure what happened with LGpedia. That's a shame. Yeah, the new look and feel of the forum takes some getting used to. But it has some really impressive features too, if you're into that kind of thing. Personally, my favorite thing is that it's 100% width. I hate set-width websites on a decent-sized monitor. 100% width is good! Anyway, that's my 1.5 pesos.

The quizzes were fun! I got all the phorum questions (I had better, huh?), but had to guess on some of the ones that I imagine were revealed during the radio shows (best foosball player, etc.). I find it suspicious that "Hyemew" was a distractor for almost every question!

The new sites are going to look really cool. I've had a sneak peek. It's mostly look-and-feel stuff to accompany the launch of the KM stuff, but it's pretty neat.

I agree...JayHenry has been tremendously valuable to the 'pedia. I completely understand that it requires a lot of time and commitment, but I wish he wouldn't leave. I only hope they can find someone(s) half as dedicated to keep it going strong!

I don't know who all the admins are over at the LGpedia (other than Jay and OIC), but I want to mention that the ones I've interacted with have been super nice and very helpful - even if they aren't all that into the series! OIC, especially, was helpful in my meager little foray in and out! So I'm glad that some folks feel motivated to keep helping out - if nothing else, it does keep the fallacies, rumors, and misinformation at bay!

"fan created". BK has to tow the party line that taylor is still fanfic for the moment. (including a fanfic video that isn't even released yet?) and, there is no "page 2" in directory structures. but you gotta love BK. Just relaying what I was told. That this was just one page. I don't know any other details!

I knew the Cove would be reading conspiracy theories into everything! I didn't suspect Jay-Henry is canon... I can say that this was not intentional, and don't read too much into it. Apparently a lot of both LG15-created videos and fan-created videos are captured and stored (this was just page 1). The website administrator updated the site so the videos are no longer visible.
