I read the articles interviewing the Creators, but how were they outed? Did they initiate contact with the NYT and the LATimes?

seems that buka fella, who was their tech support guy released pictures of them... I think! I'mjust glad Jessica and the forum 3 were duped into a false lead, believing they had solved the whole thing when they weren't even close. I prefer it this way and hope the Creators and the cast get what they wanted out of this
Eh, just had a thought! how well did people know the forum 3? Jessica is a very similar name to Bree's real name (JESSICA!!!) and the CAA thing was a smokescreen, could it have been possible she was in here the whole time trying to put people off??
Thats crazy never mind

i know two of the so-called "forum 3" well. I'm not sure how they were duped -- the initial "All roads lead to rome" post by Jessica on 8/30 pointed to the San Fran area, as that was Grant Steinfield's location. At that point the idea that LG15's internet work was all done by others was just one of the theories. By Sept 2nd, the Forum3 had detected the CAA connection, but that didn't go public (and they didn't tell me) until the LATimes published.
Even formenski credits them for being the key break leading to the discovery of Ms. Rose.
I perfectly understand why lots of people on the old board found jessica irksome. Its ironic that jessicaNJ is exactly like Daniel's description of Bree in the "I'm going to take her to party" video - she doesn't care what others think.

The forum 3 initially did some sort of IP whois lookup of which they refused to discuss the methods. They got an IP address that was in Mountain View, CA.
They said the videos came from the "Mountain View/San Mateo" area -- as if this is an actual area -- and with no other evidence, strongly implicated YouTube.
JessicaNJ then told the New York Times that they were "100 percent" certain that the indoor videos were shot in this area. Just as T was 100 percent sure Bree's real name was Kylie.
Over the course of the next week, they refused to share their methodology. JessicaNJ and T had flame wars with everyone in the forum. I posted a comment saying that no other credible evidence points to North California and I think we should discard that information.
JessicaNJ sent me a private message telling me to "shut the f*** up" or she would use the IP search to post my name, personal e-mail address, my home address, my home phone number and notify my employer what I was doing. She made similar threats to other forum users in private. In addition to the insults she lobbed left and right and the threats she made in the forum.
Later, a different IP address turned up the CAA private server in Mountain View/San Mateo/Los Angeles and they passed this information to the LA Times.
Slightly before the LA Times story came out, Jessica claimed to have "defeated Hollywood." I guess when she said "Hollywood" she actually meant that synonymously for "3 completely unknown filmmakers."
JessicaNJ "doesn't care what others think." But she did go out of her way to let us know that she went to Princeton, interned at a very prestigious lawfirm, has 34-24-34 measurements, and her father is an important public figure in her home state, as he is very rich and the head of a major law firm.

I particularly liked that part, Jay.
LOL
While I never had to face JessicaNJ's wrath (luckily), I should add she really believed LG15 was some insidious plan to force a product or religion on people. If JessicaNJ did not push the IP address trapping project, I really do wonder if we'd even know who the Creators are even today.

I really do wonder if we'd even know who the Creators are even today. How far did the creators originally plan on taking this? Once their Web site got to this point, did they originally hope to keep up the pretense that Bree was real? At some point, before Daniel started stalking Bree, they would have had to announce this was fiction. Otherwise people might have started encouraging law enforcement to get involved. But how did they hope to do it? I assume they planned something more elegant than their stupid forum post. But how and when do you think it was supposed to come forward?
