www.lonelygirl15.com/lgpedia/index.php/Main_PageIt looks like... a Wikipedia page. But it also looks like the creators want to control reality. They say Children of Anchors Cove was created when the official forum was temporarily down... actually, guys, it was created when the official forum was existentially crappy. A page on Bukanator? I don't think so.

Jay it looks like you created a page on Bukanator. If so, I removed him from the main page as an unseen character for reasons explained in the discussion area of his page. I hope you agree with that, but really Bukanator is not a character from the story, just a person somewhat involved (but not much) with the project pretended to be just a regular fan (and not very well). As someone never mentioned in the videos (nor meant to be a part of Bree's world to begin with other than the whole excuse they made up when it became evident Buka's page was created by the creators long before LG became popular) he was never meant to be a character nor deserves that distinction.

No worries. I moved him into a section with The Creators, since he was identified by the New York Times as one of them.
It looks like he had a falling out with Beckett and Flinders and they would probably prefer that Steinfeld and Bukanator not be mentioned, because mistakes with his fan site are what ultimately ruined their mystery. However, if this is going to be a good wiki, it's important that nobody, even The Creators, have the ability to whitewash history with their version of events.
Bukanator was many people's entry into the Breeniverse. His "character" interacted with DanielBeast and Lonelygirl15 on the comments section. Hopefully, you agree with his new classification.

I renamed it "The Creators and Crew" because 1. Buka doesn't seem to have been a creator, just one they brought along for the ride and 2. "The Creators" is now a term used to refer to the Mesh, Miles, and Greg, and this might lead some to believe that The Creators speaks for Buka. You see though, when it comes to Buka interacting with DB, the whole reason for that was only fabricated once people found the site was created 5/12/06. Buka originally just claimed to be a regular fan, but when it was clear his site was created before LG even came out, a poor excuse was thought up as to how that could be possible. Sure the excuse was given, but it was a very poor one and was done out of necessity. In my opinion while that did happen, it shouldn't be relied upon heavily as actual LG canon as it was a fabrication out of necessity. I'm not saying its fake or anything, but just that it was not intended at all and now Buka's totally out of it anyway. If we are to talk about Buka getting involved with Daniel and being their #1 fan as a vital part of the story, well it leaves things unresolved because their "#1 fan" has disappeared off the face of the earth!

I'm just putting information up there. Your edits seem level-headed -- no complaints from me. Probably be better to discuss changes on the wiki talk pages, rather than here.

That's better than the word "gay" that was there. Having an open DB like this isn't such a great idea though ....

Something interesting happening at the pedia. A user named Annartist has modified the entries on Grant Steinfeld and Miles Beckett to say that Steinfeld photographed the production without permission.
It seems that the only people who could have this sort of information would be the Creators themselves. It also seems really implausible, I mean, the actors and creators were clearly posing for Steinfeld's camera. Perhaps they feel that Steinfeld does not own the copyright to these photographs? Or they feel that he needs their permission to release the photos (and perhaps he does).
It's looking like this could be a real test of whether the creators have the integrity to run a Wiki.
Developing...

i can't resist: could Annartist be annabanana of the famous stereogum.com comment? she said the whole thing was fake a few weeks before the outing, and mentioned the NDAs, i think.

I keep putting him back in as a character based on something I heard privately at the Phorum. But by all means, let us continue this minor edit war; it is fun and in character. Bukanator really hasn't quite disappeared as a character -- people who get email notification of PMs on the Phorum have them emailed from the Bukanator email account, for example.

I started a discussion on this topic on the LGPedia's Talk:Main Page -- I think that'd be more productive than an edit war.
I also noticed that bukanator@lonelygirl15.com just registered at the cove. Welcome, buka. I think I speak for everyone who was around in August when I say we've missed you.

Yes, yes, think of Anchor Cove as the Footage:Fetish:Forum of the Breeniverse.
