Plot holes can be ignored when the videos are fun to watch. The illusion doesn't have to be seamless to be entertaining. For instance maybe a flashbang would really hurt people in an elevator...I don't care, because that video was fun to me. Sometimes the characters make a better video than their character would make if it were real...hey, I'm just happy to get a better video. They say YouTube is not apart of the Breeniverse anymore...okay. Doesn't matter to me, because the premise is still the same.
But as the show gets lost in circles and "what do we do next?" questions, one thing becomes increasingly hard for me to swallow.
Wouldn't at least one of the viewers within the Breeniverse, the ones that the characters have addressed directly in the videos, tip off a non-Order member of the law enforcement community? Or tip off the media with this huge story: An attractive young vlogger, her father kidnapped and murdered by an evil terrorist-like Order, her friend held hostage and brainwashed, their continuing danger, and it's all on video?
And wouldn't the media run the story and contact law enforcement? And wouldn't at least one non-Order law enforcement officer begin to investigate the case? I think Bree and Co. would find out about this outside attention through, if nowhere else, lonelygirl15.com. Wouldn't they be given an option of staying somewhere safe? I think this attention from media/law enforcement would be worth referencing at least once in their videos. Don't tell me no one's watching the videos, because then who are they talking to?
I'd be surprised if they could explain this to my satisfaction. If not, all I can hope for is that they make it entertaining enough that I don't care.
