It's an on-and-off topic that goes way back to before this board was even started, but I'll limit it to this board. Are anchor cove posters, in general, too critical of lg15? Vote and leave your comments below.

I thought about this for a while, and then voted my conscience: "Just the right..."
I used the term "loyal opposition" a long time ago. Not quite sure if that, very political, term is appropriate but I like the sound of it when I say it. I think credit is usually given when it is deserved though.
I think we do a pretty good job of correcting ourselves when the negativity gets pervasive, but it is usually the result of the product offered up for review that initiates the negativity. We callz em howz we seez em.

Maybe we are quite critical, but when there's so much to be critical about, can you blame us? I feel we do it partly out of love and concern for the series and a desire to make it better, I don't think our criticisms are done out of malace.

While I find the criticism over the top at times, and way too serious, I enjoy how much the early days of Lg mean to folks here, myself included. Reminds me of the way my gen brutalized Dylan during the 70's when he couldn't come up with another Blonde on Blonde....it was love that made us do it!

This board only helps LG get more views, so if there's a victim, it isn't the production. No one ever quit watching LG because of this board, and for some it's the reason we still watch. Providing a link to every video, and pages upon pages of discussion about all the related details only serves to raise the value of LG stock, regardless of the criticism. If people who don't usually post want to post more praise and/or neutral comments, they can. The discussion is certainly welcome!

We have every right to criticize and every right to be wrong about criticizing it.
eh, every time I think I'm giving an even handed assessment, it comes off snarky. I try to play along sometimes. Sometimes I'm in a bad mood or the video shows up at a bad time. Sometimes the episode sucks. Sometimes I like it anyway. Sometimes the cheap shots at the shows expense come easier than praise. Mostly we're rooting for them I think. It's just somewhere along the line our hearts got broken a little bit. We're not the same naive youngsters we were back in the summer.
My tiny criticism: I personally find it distasteful to be strung along like a sucker while the show tries to attract more viewers. That's what the I felt the show was doing for quite a while, and it turned me off as a fan. Aren't the fans you have good enough to tell "the story" to? It's a totally non-creative element exerting itself on the production and it seemed very transparent and insulting...to me.
But that's just my own little criticism, and I don't believe I've made the case for it before elsewhere. Sooooo, perhaps I haven't been quite critical enough? eh, who's to say right? Hopefully no one feels so intimidated by all the mean comments that they wouldn't post their praise. And hopefully all the mean comments didn't really run off the creator of this board?!?!
Well, with the show heading in some sort of direction story wise (any!) I'm sure that there will be nothing to complain about and the skies will be clear around Anchor Cove.
eh, I was snarky and incoherent again wasn't I? Perhaps we're just being too critical of ourselves.

never meant to be such a long-term lurker, guess i'm trying to break out. i love the cove, i just think for a while there, every new video was met with a wave of derision, and sometimes videos that were just fine were trashed. i reiterate, this forum is a huge part of the lg15 viewing experience for me. the negativity was just a little too universal there. dunno, seems to be shifting now anyway.

sweeeett! sometimes here we seem predisposed to be somewhat critical. but its all out of love. like buckwheat's comparison to dylan after blonde on blonde (my own comparison would be morrissey after vauxhall and i, fwiw), we hold the Creators to high standards.

And hopefully all the mean comments didn't really run off the creator of this board?!?! Well it did. I come here rarely enough as it is, but when I saw this thread, I had to post.
